Wins of the Week #6 — I Can Sum This Week Up In 1 Simple Word…

WOW: February 19 — February 25

Not everything was perfect this week, but if it were, that would be too easy, and therefore pretty boring, right?

As an example of a non-WOW, my newsletter subscriber growth was stagnant.

But overall, I would sum this week up in one simple word:

satisfying.

Everything isn’t going perfectly, but it feels just right.

Here are some of my wins for this week…

  1. I wrote and published 9 articles, and 6 of those were added to publications.
  2. Last week, I showed a few articles with my read ratio, and I decided to do that again. I’m very happy with my ratios (mostly…)!

Five of my articles got a read ratio of over 70%, and two of them were over 80%. Sweet!

(Three articles I wrote were short-form and the lower read ratios make sense. I write these for the pure pleasure of it, so I don’t mind!)

(One article just didn’t do that well, and that’s fine. They’re not all going to be winners!)

3. I was mentioned in 8 stories by other Medium writers. I’m so appreciative of the shout-outs! (In fact, this gives me an idea of a new publication to start. Stay tuned…)

4. My earnings are not exactly where I was hoping they’d be, but I am grateful for any amount I make writing the nonsense that I do.

And honestly, this is still a very nice amount. I am not complaining at all!

5. I had 1 sale of my Medium Money ebook and 6 downloads of my free affiliate marketing ebook.

6. I was approved to be a writer for the publication Mystic Minds. I forgot I applied, but I am so excited about this!

This is another publication that can help with my boost goal while letting me get my mystic weirdness out in written form. Win-win!

(I was working on an article for this pub last week until I got interrupted by Grammarly, but I’ll be back at it today.)

7. I added 6 screenshots to my praise folder, and these praises were so good this week that they make me all tingly! This was probably my favorite part of this WOW.

Final Thoughts

I’m discovering that wins of the week don’t all have to be related to how much money was made.

Other wins are just as satisfying:

  • one of my favorite writers on Medium saying nice things about my article
  • someone telling me how much they love my newsletter
  • 70–85% read ratios

I am enjoying this so much, and I will continue, no matter how much money I make or don’t make. (Although, don’t get me wrong, I’m still aiming for that $5k per month goal!)

Did you have some wins this week? I’d love to hear about them!
