1. Vision

At Mystic Minds, we’re dedicated to providing spiritual education and guidance for those on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Our publication is a home for writers and readers who recognize the importance of connecting spirituality to everyday life.

We aim to serve souls in practical and grounded ways that inspire, educate, and encourage personal evolution. We welcome articles that promote spiritual growth, personal development, and self-awareness.

We’re interested in pieces that expand minds, refresh spirits, restore souls, and heal the physical body.

We encourage submissions that offer practical advice, personal experiences, and inspiring stories that help readers apply spiritual principles to their daily lives.

While we respect and honor all religious beliefs, Mystic Minds is not a religious publication. We do not accept articles that condemn God or criticize specific religions or belief systems.

We do not publish articles solely focused on esoteric concepts that lack a solid foundation in reality. We believe in balancing spirituality with practicality, and we aim to provide content that is both inspiring and grounded. However, if a writer can bring a personal touch to their exploration of esoteric topics and share their own relevant experiences, we may consider publishing exceptional stories that fall outside of our usual guidelines.

We’re open to making exceptions for well-written, thought-provoking pieces that align with our overall vision and goals.

Mystic Minds is home for writers and readers who recognize the importance of connecting spirituality to everyday life.

2. Mission

At Mystic Minds, we believe spirituality is about more than just vague ideas and far-off concepts. It’s about practical, real-life experiences that help us grow and connect with ourselves and the world around us. That’s why we’re looking for writers who have personal experience with the topics they’re writing about.

We want articles that are based on real life, not just theories or opinions.

We’re not interested in articles that tell people how to live their lives. Instead, we want writers to share their own experiences and show readers how they’ve navigated their spiritual journeys. By doing so, writers can create a sense of authenticity and connection with their readers.

We only accept first-person essays because they allow writers to share their personal stories and insights. This helps readers see how the topic has impacted the writer’s life and how they can apply those lessons to their own lives.

We want articles that are original, authentic, and written by humans, not robots.

Our publication is not about spreading fear or negativity. We want articles that make people feel good and offer hope, even in difficult times.

We believe that love is the most powerful force in the world, and we want our articles to reflect that.

We’re not interested in articles that tell people how to live their lives. Instead, we want writers to share their own experiences and show readers how they’ve navigated their spiritual journeys.

3. Submission

We reserve the right to edit articles. We’re here to help you refine your writing, clarify your ideas, and present your story in the most engaging and impactful way possible. We work on strengthening titles and subtitles and changing images that do not properly reflect the message of the article. If you do not want your work edited at all, please do not submit it.

With all of that said, please:

  • Submit unpublished drafts that are at least three minutes long. No poems.
  • Make sure the article you submit is free of grammatical errors. Run your work through the Grammarly extension before submitting it. Too many glaring errors and poor formats lead to immediate rejection.
  • Ensure your article has a cover image that appears after the title and subtitle. Use a photo that reflects the message and one you have the right to use. Whenever you’re using your own photo, simply add “Photo by Author” as the caption.
  • Make sure all titles must be title-cased. You can do this on your own or use Capitalize My Title. For the subtitle, use sentence case without any punctuation marks at the end. The title must be clear and tell the reader exactly what to expect from the article.
  • Limit CTA’s, especially for articles you want to be nominated for a Boost. When readers land on our publication, we want them to stick around. It’s okay to add links to related articles at the end, but make sure you only include articles published in Mystic Minds. Any links that send the reader away from the publication will be deleted.

*Following the publication is now a requirement for being a writer. This applies to both veteran and new writers. Veteran writers who are not following the publication must please do so to not miss any future updates or announcements.

With that said, Mystic Minds will not be a great fit for every writer, and that’s okay. If you believe you are a good fit and are willing to work together, then there are two important things to do:

  1. First, follow the publication. This is a requirement to be added as a writer.
  2. Then comment “Count me in” and I’ll add you as a writer as soon as possible.

If you’re not added after one week, check if you’ve followed the publication. Allow 3 days for your story to be reviewed, edited, and published once it has been submitted.

Rejection of Stories

Your article might be a fine story but we reserve the right to accept or reject articles. Rejections have more to do with the kind of articles we are looking for — original, personal, well-written, constructive, and memorable. If your article is rejected, please control yourself. Any attacks or aggressive questioning of the editor’s decisions can result in being removed as a writer.

Resubmission of Rejected Stories

We understand that writers may be eager to see their work published, but we strongly advise against resubmitting submissions that have already been rejected. This can cause frustration for both the writer and the editor, as it can lead to repeated rejections and delays in the publishing process.

If a submission is rejected, it’s important to understand that it doesn’t necessarily mean the article is bad or that the writer is not talented. It simply means that the submission may not have met our guidelines or standards at that particular time.

Instead of resubmitting a rejected submission, we encourage writers to take the time to revise and improve their work. This may involve addressing any issues or concerns that were raised during the initial review process or taking a fresh approach to the topic.

It’s also important to note that our editor is a busy volunteer who dedicates their time to reviewing and editing submissions. While we strive to publish articles in a timely manner, it’s not always possible to publish every submission immediately.

If a submission is taking longer than expected to be published, it’s likely that it’s still being considered or that it needs further revision/editing. In that case, writers may choose to remove their submissions and publish them elsewhere. We understand that this may be necessary in certain situations, and we wish writers the best of luck in their publishing endeavors.

Removal of stories

Contributors own the rights to the content they post. Articles may be edited or removed from our publication at any time, though we ask to be notified in the case of removal. When stories are approved, edited, and published in Mystic Minds, we hope that they will remain in the publication.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

And thank you for considering Mystic Minds as a platform for sharing your stories. If you appreciate the support and recognition your story receives through our publication and you would like to support our editor and the work that they do, you’re welcome to send donations. We will move your submissions to the front of the queue as a thank-you for your support.

We look forward to receiving your submissions, working with you to create inspiring and informative content for our readers, and possibly nominating your story for a Boost!

Happy writing!
