Why Do You Feel the Need to Rush Everything?
Question I have been asking myself lately.

“Don’t try to be everywhere. Just be here and do your thing.”― Hiral Nagda
In 2022, my main resolution is to slow down and look around, enjoy tiny things I have and feel genuinely grateful.
In the past, I have been a workaholic, trading time for money. I am always rushing around, only to hurry up and wait.
“Don’t rush in order to have things done early. Be prepared before you set off. That’s the rule. However, this does not mean that you keep delaying the time for beginning. You must begin by all means! Go, get prepared!” ― Israelmore Ayivor
And it’s a reality for most of us, jumping from one thing to another continuously.
This week has been quite hectic. I have got a lot going on at work that left my weekends also jam packed. That is not cool.
We are all different and have goals, but I want you to think and answer:
Do I take time doing this, or do I speed right through it? Can I slow down?
Are you mindful of what you just did because your brain is going at 100 miles per minute? I am not talking about meditating; yes, that helps, but only if you take it into your everyday life, not just on the mat.
If you are running around basically to “hurry up and wait,” are you enjoying your life?
Basically:
- Need to prioritize things- so less rush, more mindfulness.
- We can’t do it all- it’s okay to ask for help.
- Worrying about what will happen holds us back- so less worry.
- Resting and relaxing is as important as going out there and making it happen.
