Who Am I?
Want to know a little more about me? So do I. Read on to find out what I’m all about.

The question of “Who am I?” has plagued me all my life or at least so long as I can remember.
I’ve always felt like I have an issue with identity and because of this I’ve done many “things” throughout my life. I try not to dwell too much on the past because it easily slips into a dark labyrinth of “What If”.
I explore my identity through the medium of photography (Instagram) and writing — some of which you can find here on… Medium!
I’d describe myself as:
- A thirty-something primary school teacher, in England, with a long term side hustle of photography.
- A man struggling with chronic health issues both physical (autoimmune / herniated disc / rheumatoid conditions) and mental (PTSD / bipolar)
- A human yearning to understand the world, love and himself more.
Whilst I do tend to get hyper-focused on one or two interests for periods at a time, I’d say my main interests in life are: photography, cycling, languages and reading (good thing I’m a Medium member!).
If already you feel we’d be good for a cuppa (or pint) and chat, feel free to subscribe and get to know me more. That’s without a doubt the easiest way to stay in touch.
I write on Medium to better understand health, photography and teaching, and as an outlet for my busy mind.
Luck you — my thoughts are here to be read!
Previously, my thoughts were thrown into Apple Notes and forgotten about. (I suppose now Apple have released their Journal app I could just use that!)
Now, I try to organise and process these thoughts more clearly.
To that end, I’ve tried to keep my stories organised on here and add them to the below lists when I remember. These lists are linked below should they be of interest to you:
