When You Trust God, Opportunities Come From The Most Unexpected Circumstances

My job debacle has come to a very unexpected happy conclusion.

As some of you may recall, I had an unfortunate situation happen at work (I work part-time as a bartender) that led to a significant loss of income, and I was scared for a moment about how I would make ends meet.

Through this time of uncertainty, I wrote to help myself cope and share what I've learned through this short and intense moment in my life.

Here are some of the lessons that came from it:

It's a lot, I know.

You're not required to read all of these, but if any of them call to you, please give them a quick read-through. I believe these lessons could help.

Back to the good news because that's what I want to share.

Since I was concerned for my financial well-being, I reached out to my employer and had an honest conversation about my situation.

I explained I could not make ends meet on my new schedule and asked whether there was a possibility for me to go back to my old one.

If the answer was no, I would find a second job.

And God looked out for me in a way I could not have predicted.

We had a meeting, and I was offered a second position at a different location!

I was not expecting an employment offer, considering how the original incident is still fresh.

God looked out for me, and I'm in awe of how he turned a bleak situation into a bigger blessing.

I was happy where I was, but God turned things around and placed me in an even better position.

One that came about in a very unexpected and almost miraculous way.

I thought for sure this situation was going to end badly for me.

The main lesson I want to share with you is through the worry, anxiety, frustration, anger, etc., whatever it is you feel when dire circumstances happen, remind yourself that God is with you and have faith that he will open a different path for you.

One that is better than the first path you were on.

I know some people will ignore this blog because God is mentioned, and that’s okay.

I’m not here to tell you what to believe in.

What I do want to share is that my faith has gotten me through very difficult circumstances, and time and time again, when I ask God to show me a better path, He has.

How could I not share my experiences with a wonderful God that has answered my prayers and has turned around multiple dire circumstances for my benefit?

If you’re Christian or believe in God, whatever you want to call it — I’m not crazy about titles or denominations. Here’s a reminder to keep trusting Him. He will show you a better path.

If you’re an agnostic, atheist, or have a different belief system, maybe there’s something in here that can inspire you to keep going.

Life happens to all of us no matter what we believe in.

But how we respond to life is a reflection of our belief system.

My hope is that by sharing my struggles and how I overcome them, you’re inspired to continue on and overcome the struggles you are facing.

As I said, whether you believe in God or not, I’m simply here to share my story or stories.

I’m sure there will be plenty more obstacles and challenges in the future, which will make for great stories to share.

Until then, God bless you!

Wishing you all the best on this journey called life.
