Editor’s overview
THANK YOU FOR 50 FOLLOWERS!
Hey writers and readers. Welcome to another edition of The Quintessentials. Yes, this is post is two days late! I had a uni exam today and I’ve been all but non-existent for the past few weeks, but now that the exam is out of the way, I’m back. I hope. Mostly. I’m something. Anyway…
Let’s do the quintessential thing!

Queerly Trans Doing a Thing
Did you miss any of these great posts? Well, go check them out.

If There Was Something You Could Do TO Save My Life, Would You? by Amber Poe— 4 Min Read
If you’re reading this I have some news to share and I might as well make it known to the world because, well, everything is on the internet and while you tell people to keep things a secret or in confidence, something of this magnitude has no lid.

Goodbye To My Wife by Jenny Starr✨ — 4 Min Read
I recently started writing poetry and it’s been a cathartic experience. It seems my heart loves the language of words, how they interplay, weave a story, and invite people to become part of the journey.

How Religion is Helping My Trans Journey by Kathrin Seiler — 4 Min Read
I know — who is happy with their body in generell. I also do know that their are people who love their body as it is and I really love that for them. But my body — my rules…

Transition and Lost Relationships by Kitty Whitemore — 6 Min Read
I am certain that there is not one trans person on earth that did not realize transition was going to cost them. We are painfully aware that the cost of transition can be dear.

Dearest Kind Cis Ally by Logan Silkwood — 4 Min Read
If I ever say something really obnoxious about cis people to you, please take this as a compliment, even if I seem rather feisty.

Queerly Trans Writing Prompt:
Writing prompt time. You can still submit to any of our previous prompts — simply include the tag WRITING PROMPTS.
Writing Prompt 16/2/22
My invisible queer flavors
This prompt came from a conversation with Logan Silkwood. Heteronormative societal expectations can mean that queer relationships that are seen as ‘straight passing’ are de-queered in the cishet world and even in our own community! But us queerly trans folx have so many queer invisible flavors. So tells us about YOUR invisible flavors of queer. Whatever that means to you.
Review, journal, creative non-fiction, fiction, memoir, choose your style, and have fun.
You do not need to post your story on Queerly Trans but if you do, tag your story with WRITING PROMPTS. If you post it elsewhere, tag QUEERLYTRANS so that I can read it and get all clappy for you!
