What These Low-Impact Workouts Can Do Will Leave You Breathless
Learn how to boost your libido with these tips.

Christmas was unforgettable. I celebrated mine with my family; my aunts, uncles, and distant cousins I had not seen in years came around.
We shared childhood memories. We laughed, we cried, we are, and we drank. It was one of the best holidays ever.
Some of my cousins married to Jamaicans were too generous with feeding us their special delicacies.
It was my first time eating Jamaican Oxtail recipes, and boy, I couldn’t get enough of it. That’s when I realized most Caribbean foods are unhealthy. Almost everything from processed bread, rice, beans, legume with butter, etc., is converted to sugar.
Eating too many unhealthy, high-calorie foods during the Christmas holiday gave me 12 extra pounds. I had to do a 4-week weight loss challenge to lose that body fat.
I started with Kegel, breathing exercises, and running as my primary workout routine. Then I included squats after a few days when I wasn’t seeing the results I was expecting.
I didn’t take any supplements, only my favorite green tea and protein shakes. And I was able to reach my goal of losing 12 pounds in three weeks.
I also noticed a significant change in my libido. My sex drive has gone up crazy. I constantly want sex, or I think about it every day.
Some people say their sex drive goes down when they exercise heavily, especially for powerlifters, and some have increased sex drive from high-intensity exercises.
I was very much surprised that the low-impact workouts I did peaked my sex drive. This made me wonder what could have resulted in this hormonal boost.
Exercises that increase libido without weightlifting
Regular physical activity can help increase the production of testosterone, the crucial hormone for our libido.
An increase in blood flow from moderate exercise not only makes your cheeks red but also increases circulation to more sensitive areas in both men and women.
Here are three exercises that will help towards increasing your sex drive.
Kegel exercise
I think Kegel played a major role in my increased sex drive. I have done a half marathon before, and I did not notice any changes in my libido.
Kegel exercises have been proven to help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and also help increase libido in both men and women.
Kegels help strengthens vaginal muscles in women, leading to stronger orgasms. For men, Kegels can help delay ejaculation.
You can do Kegel exercises while standing, sitting, or lying down.
To do a Kegel, squeeze the pelvic floor muscles and hold them for a few seconds. Hold each contraction for up to 10 seconds.
Relax for at least 5 seconds between repetitions. Do three sets of 10 repetitions per day.
Squat exercise
Squat was another exercise I did, but I have always avoided doing squats in my workout sessions.
However, that doesn’t rule out the effects they had on my glutes and pelvic muscles.
Squats are primarily for building leg muscles. Since legs are the biggest muscle group in your body, working them by squatting can improve your testosterone levels.
The two squat exercises I did to increase my overall muscles mass and sex drive were plies squat and lateral squats.
Squats get your blood flowing down your body, and increasing circulation around your legs and abdomen will increase circulation to your genitals.
Better circulation leads to more arousal, so spend more time doing squats to boost your sex life.
Running exercise
Some people consider running to be high-intensity exercise when done for long hours, such as the ultramarathon.
Researchers say running increases libido and improves erectile dysfunction.
Other studies show healthier hormone levels in athletes who exercise, improving their libido.
For example, high insulin levels can cause problems with your sex hormones: testosterone, leptin, growth hormone, and cortisol.
But running keeps your insulin levels in check, your hormones in balance, and your sex drive in action.
The main reason running helps increase testosterone is because it builds muscle.
When your body gains muscle, it also gains testosterone. And the higher your testosterone, the higher your libido.
