Writing Prompt.

What Is Your True Meaning Of Life?.

Think it through before you write.

Credits to Natasha Fernandez from Pexels.

My life so far has been a white knuckle ride at times.

I’m not going to start writing that “It’s not my fault”. Or “I must be unlucky or jinxed”.

This is because, when you try to blame other people or other things you are deflecting what you know, by definition; is the truth.

You can make out to everyone who is asking or trying to ascertain what they want to hear from you to pacify them.

But you are doing yourself a disservice and also the people who you care greatly about because you’re the one who has been a part of your life and created the good, bad or indifferent experiences.

I have to admit that I have been in denial for a long time because of the white knuckle ride segments.

Which are intense, extreme and emotionally unstable and not particularly pleasant at all.

My point is I have created everything I have been part of. The eventuality of the various situations is not quite the outcome of fluffy pink candy floss and bunny rabbits.

The ramifications are brutal, hurtful, mind-bending and in the process, self-harming.

After laying out the variables in a metaphorical mind map. I have come to this conclusion.

  • I believe everything does happen for a reason.
  • If you think that you’re right even though in reality you’re not. You’re never going to be able to accept who you are.
  • I’m a strong believer in good things happen to good people.
  • Short term pain is worth it for long term gains.
  • You can keep trying to fill the cracks, but eventually, the dam will break.
  • As you get a little older you quickly realise the number of your true friends you can count on one hand.
  • You definitely can’t lick your elbow.
  • Even though they say “You’re biting your nose off to spite your face” How can you? It’s physically impossible.
  • You can’t change the things that are history and in your past.
  • I know that karma will come to see you at some point in life.
  • If you practice at a task or skill set you will only get better never worse.
  • Being genuine and sincere and thoughtful and kind is a fantastic way of showing who you are and what you want your true meaning of life to be.
  • It’s not going to be gift wrapped with a big bow. Life isn’t fair.
  • But if you embrace and understand that you’re the sculptor and the creator of your meandering journey.
  • You will find happiness and contentment cascading through your life.
  • Be curious. Be intuitive. Be true to yourself.

I have been trying to create writing prompts and this is another suggestion for Timothy Key and his ongoing writing challenge.
