Welcoming and Introducing *Insert Drum Roll* My Wife Jessica to Medium
And the name changed to my page

I hope that her introduction will be accepted into the stories.
Introduction
My name is Jessica and like my husband, I grew up in Pennsylvania. My husband and I met in fourth grade. Unbeknownst to him at the time, I lived on a farm. My mother’s farm was awarded a Century Farm Award. As much as I liked to carry on the family tradition, PA’s just too cold. So, I found a man who lived down south and moved. My husband, baby, and I live in North Carolina. He moved down to North Carolina after the military, in 2012 and I moved down just this past year.
I have one sister. My sister married a man whose family also has a Century Farm Award and so, my nephew is the first to have one on both sides of the family. Good thing he loves farming.
Before I moved to North Carolina I worked in banking for 13 years. Now I work in Accounts Payable for a construction company that almost has their “Century Farm Award” — it’s my husband’s joke, I apologize. Anyways, but yeah, they are older than most construction companies in the region.
I usually write poems, but my husband believes me to have a “plethora” (his word) of knowledge in mothering and fish. Quite a niche, thanks, babe.
In my defense, my farm was a cow farm, so I’ve delivered countless calves, and my sister has two kids that I would babysit at least twice a week. And there are just things that I know, for whatever reason, and thought everyone knew. Here I am, nonetheless. As with fish, I had fish for a long time and I like to read. I have knowledge about saltwater, freshwater, coral reef fish, and frogs. As my husband claims, I know what every fish is on the planet. Not quite.
Happy to be here! Here are a few of my favorite pictures:
