But I’m not going to apologize simply because, I’m human (well, that’s what I let the other humans think), and sometimes, I have to prioritize self — which is what I did this week. And prioritizing self sometimes means de-prioritizing other things, even if it is just for a day or two. There was a time I would feel immense guilt for that and I would have prioritized the expectations of others over my own mental health. It’s still a work in progress, but progress is being made.
