Waffles for Dinner
Day 85: Solving problems is simple when you let go

Last night as a family, we enjoyed waffles for dinner. Breakfast is my very favorite meal, and we all love fluffy waffles. We balanced it out with roasted Brussels sprouts and fruit. Smiles, laughter, and joy were shared all around the table as we chatted about our day. Simple pleasures are the things that make life beautiful. have learned that when I keep things light and let go of the rest, everything flows. As I explore the book Letting Go by David R. Hawkins; I discover the keys to living a joyful life.
Yesterday I experienced a few challenges while editing a video for my YouTube channel. I could not seem to figure out how to overlay a title onto a clip. Instead of getting frustrated, I decided to let go of the feelings that were coming up. This made all of the difference. I was able to look up a tutorial. Next thing I knew, I had edited this video all by myself! My son helped me edit my first two videos. However, I completed this one on my own.
The effectiveness of the letting go mechanism in problem-solving often is quite astonishing. …The approach that brings fast and easy results is the following: Don’t look for answers; instead, let go of the feelings behind the question. -David R. Hawkins.

When we are working on solving a problem, feelings can come up. Sometimes we feel frustration, anger, and other emotions. Those feelings can tumble into thoughts that can then block our progress. Soon, a simple problem can turn into “I’m not good enough.” If we choose to acknowledge our feelings and let them go, we can find a solution to our challenge.
Problem-solving using the mechanism of surrender can often be lightning quick with problems of long-standing. To discover how fast it can work, let’s try it out. Take several problems of long-standing and stop looking for the answers. Look to see what the underlying feeling is that produced the question in the first place. Once that feeling is let go, the answer will present itself automatically. -David R. Hawkins
When we use the technique of letting-go, we are creating a direct path to success in all areas of our lives. The mind will want to return to the old ways sometimes. When we choose to grasp our feelings tightly with a fist, we create our own downfall. For example, when we are not feeling successful in an endeavor, our emotions take us down a path of doubt. Soon we find ourselves deep in despair, time-traveling to a moment when we felt less-than.
My prayer and my intention for you today is for you to look at the emotions behind the problem. How can you let go of those feelings so that a solution may be found? You have all the answers right in front of you. Great success is meant for you on your path. To unlock it, let go of any frustrations you have blocking you.
What emotions are blocking your path today?
Just for fun, here is the video I made yesterday.
I have a new channel: Joyful Decluttering.
Each week I publish a video on one of the days of this journey. I relate personal growth lessons to things you can do in your home to create a better environment for yourself. Enjoy!
