Accepting the Spirit Force Within Me

Day 1: Knowing that all that I need to create is already there

At this moment, I am stepping into a 100 day journey. This voyage will take me through and beyond the 33 steps the book The Infinite Self by Stuart Wilde. Simultaneously, I am writing a piece for my very first long form book. Doing these projects in tandem brings me great joy. I am so grateful to Henery X (long) for encouraging me to write this book. My writing family here at Illumination is a creative force for good in this world.

As I set foot on this mysterious and glorious path, I will explore the idea of the spirit within all of us. This is the first step in the 33 steps to the infinite self.

The God Force is within. Internalize that God Force and accept that it is flowing through you. When you perceive God as a force outside of you, you can’t really use its energy properly. Once you internalize the force, and it is not just a vague intellectual concept of the God within, then you can move to actually feeling the God Force inside of you. At that point, a truly awesome power of perception and goodness enters your life.

-Infinite Self, Stuart Wilde

As I took my morning walk early this morning in the back garden, I started to feel this spirit force within me. I began to smile, to feel the joy welling up inside me, thinking about creating today. Each moment in the now presents an opportunity to reach into our inner spirit and create something amazing. Each and every second we are here to create. We have that power within us all along.

I believe that this enormous energy and force within us can be felt if we focus on it. I felt it yesterday as I picked up sticks in the garden. Every day I like to take an afternoon walk and find the sticks that have fallen from the trees. They are gifts that have been given to me, so I say “thank you” for the abundance of each stick. I am amazed at the abundance of nature. Each time I walk around, I always find sticks. They appear everywhere to my delight. These sticks are bundles of energy. We create joyful sparks with them when we create fires in our fire pit. Those sticks warm us, they bring energy and light to us. They are gifts. Each time I find a stick, I feel the enormous energy in my inner being grow. It grows with abundance and light.

Spirit force within is pure emotion. It is the radiant glow we feel inside when we create an idea. As I walked yesterday I focused on the ideas that I am taking action on, ones that are inspired by the force within me. Ideas that seemed to come from nowhere, they came from that force. I felt a beam of light all around me as I pondered all of the possibilities.

Our beautiful inner light is what is at work when we choose to cut out the negativity from our lives and focus on the positive in life. This was illustrated to me yesterday as I chose to cut away dead branches and excess growth of some plants in the garden. When we trim away things in our lives that aren’t serving us, we create more growth. We create more possibility, we create more flow in our lives. Our inner strength can grow strong when those parts are cut away. We begin to free ourselves from thoughts and actions that aren’t allowing us to grow. Our roots are given new energy to spring forth and create from that spirit force.

I am beginning to truly accept and feel the spirit within me. The power to create and to go beyond limitations. To choose my heart and to go forward. To step forward boldly and set foot in the path. The spirit force is strong and powerful, it works for good and it works for all.

Do you feel the spirit force within you?
