Unleash Your Imagination: Creating Captivating Character Illustrations with the Right AI Commands
Artificial intelligence is making great strides and the more the days go by, the more we discover new things that can be done extremely easily thanks to artificial intelligence. In this story, I will explain to you how it is possible, thanks to a certain prompt to be inserted on Midjourney, to create characters all with the same style, attributing them different positions, different expressions, different objects in their hands, and much more, ideal for creating illustrations, cartoons, comics, books, stories… even if you can’t draw. Fantastic!
At this point, let’s suppose that we want to create a character that will be the protagonist of a children’s story. Let’s assume that this character is, for example, a little bear with an orange raincoat with a hood, brown shoes, drawn in an illustration style for a children’s book.
By inserting the following prompt on Midjourney…
Little bear character, multiple poses and expressions, children’s book illustration style, orange hooded dress, green hat, brown shoes, simple, cute, full color, flat color, — — no outline
we will obtain the following result:
At this point, we can save the generated image. With a photo editing program, we can split it into the individual images that make it up and then proceed to outline each one. An extremely simple way to outline these images is through Canva, which with a single click will allow us to outline them all.
We now have the various images of our character ready to be inserted as an illustration in some of our stories. We can repeat the same process to create the same character in other positions or performing other actions simply by editing the inserted prompt.
For example, if we type the prompt:
Little bear character, multiple running poses and expressions, children’s book illustration style, orange hooded dress, green hat, brown shoes, simple, cute, full color, flat color, — — no outline
our character will be represented as if he is running because we have inserted “running” in the prompt.
By playing with the prompt, you can create many other positions and actions for your character, for example, you can ask him to draw while eating, while sleeping, while jumping, etc. Or you can ask him to redraw him, changing the colors of his clothes, and in many other ways.
Thanks to a prompt like this, you can give space to your creativity and obtain results that until some time ago were unthinkable. Anyone, thanks to these tools, can be able to generate this type of images thanks to artificial intelligence.
This prompt as structured works well with Midjourney, but as it is not my intention to promote Midjourney, I will of course try to find prompts that work well with other artificial intelligence applications.
