Use This Easy Trick to Figure Out Your Condom Size
It’s a little embarrassing, but it works

I used to be an unofficial condom purchaser for a group of teenage girls.
I was a very shy teen, but I was the most sexually open girl in my friend group. So, it always fell on me to buy anything sex-related for everyone.
I never took a pregnancy test until I was an adult and trying to conceive. But I bought plenty of them before then because I was the only one brave enough to slap one on the counter and look the pharmacist in the eye while paying for it.
And I was the only one who could stand face-to-face with a cashier with a box of condoms in hand.
There were a lot of choices to make in the condom aisle, but we weren’t all that well equipped to make them.
We had been told we needed to use condoms when having sex, but didn’t really get any guidance on how to select a good one.
There were a lot of different brands but they all looked more or less the same to us. There were some that marketed themselves as extra thin, but we weren’t sure if they would still be just as safe to use.
Then there was the whole size thing. How were we even supposed to know what kind of cocks fit into what size condom?
Size Matters
When it comes to dicks, it’s really common to say that size doesn’t matter.
And that’s only half-true.
It doesn’t matter in the way most guys seem to think it matters. A big dick doesn’t make sex better and a small dick isn’t boring.
For one thing, there are so many aesthetic qualities to a cock, and size is only one of them.
Then there are the challenges that come with fucking a guy who happens to be well-hung. It’s not impossible to have amazing sex or even just a comfortable fuck with a massive cock, but it does take a little more care and some modifications.
And when it comes to choosing the right condom, size matters a lot.
One of the friends I bought condoms for was worried about the ones her boyfriend wanted.
He only used Magnum condoms. He insisted on them because he said his cock was above-average in size.
My friend questioned that whole above-average thing. She was sure he was using the wrong size just because he was too embarrassed to admit he was packing average.
She was right to worry. That kind of ego doesn’t belong in the condom aisle.
One thing that was drilled into me growing up is that condoms are 98% effective at preventing STIs and as birth control. It turns out that figure is a little misleading.
They only have a nearly perfect rate when they’re used correctly. For the average condom user, the effectiveness rate is closer to 80%.
One of the reasons for the lower is an improper size.
Wear a condom that’s too big and you could risk it slipping off or not being tight enough around the base.
That friend of mine never managed to talk her boyfriend out of using Magnums. And she was right to worry, because she eventually had an accidental pregnancy due to a condom mishap.
It’s a problem the other way, too.
When I was first dating Mr. Austin, I was buying some condoms for us and a friend made fun of me for selecting a box that was prominently labeled with “XXXL.” She accused me of showing off and maybe even exaggerating his size.
I wasn’t. Those three X’s on the box might have been an attempt to stroke the ego of whoever was buying it, but I did need to buy ones that were large.
We had tried regular sized condoms on multiple occasions, but they were always too tight. Condoms are supposed to be snug, but those were hard to roll on, and really squeezed the base of his shaft.
So, we started buying the bigger ones. And I’m glad we did because using condoms that are too small can cause some issues.
They might squeeze the shaft too tightly, which is not only uncomfortable but can make it harder to keep an erection.
But the biggest problem is that the condom is more likely to break when it’s too small.
That’s a risk no one should be willing to take. So, always make sure you’re getting the right fit when you’re buying condoms.
Find Your Fit
Condoms come in different lengths, but what really matters is your girth.
How slim or thick your cock is will make the biggest difference to what kind of condoms are right for you.
One way to figure it out is to grab a measuring tape and figure out your measurements.
Make your cock hard, wrap the tape around the thickest part of it, and see how many inches you’re dealing with.
I recommend measuring on a few different occasions. Everything from your stress levels to just how aroused you are can affect how hard your cock gets, which will give you slightly different measurements.
The average girth of an erect dick is approximately 4.6 inches. So, if you’re closer to the four and under range, you might want to try out smaller sized condoms and see if they fit comfortably. If you’re in the five and up zone, get some larger ones and see if they feel right on you.
But if you don’t have a measuring tape on hand, there’s an extremely easy alternative: sticking your dick in a roll of toilet paper.
Yes, it’s a weird thing to do. But it will tell you exactly what kind of condom size you need.
If there’s a little wiggle room left in the roll, you should be buying smaller sized condoms.
If you can just fit it in and there’s not much space for anything else, buy yourself some regular sized condoms.
And if you can’t even slide the roll over your shaft, you need to shop for large ones.
You might feel a twinge of embarrassment getting yourself hard in preparation for sliding your cock into a roll of toilet paper. But it’s completely worth it if it means you’ll never run the risk of using the wrong type of condom.
Get It Right
A lot of guys overthink condom size.
You might think that pulling out an extra large condom is going to wow the woman you’re fucking. Or maybe you think that slipping on a small sized one is going to disappoint her.
First off, she’s going to know your dick size. If she’s going to see, touch, suck, and fuck your cock she’ll have a very clear idea of what you’re working with. The size of your condom isn’t going to fool her.
But it’s also a much bigger turn-off when a guy uses the wrong size condoms. Not only does it put her at risk, but slipping on a condom that’s one or two sizes too big comes across really insecure.
So before you buy our next pack of condoms, use the toilet paper roll trick. Find your perfect size, roll it on, and show her that you know exactly what you’re doing.
