Truth exists (Part XI)
Find your responsibility, or else you will remain reactive for the rest of your life. Truth is in the things we take care of with our hearts, mind, and body. Here are the ultimate responsibilities to aim for.
- Parenting
- Teaching
- Helping
- Sacrificing
- FUN
Being a parent is the ultimate embodiment of humanity. There is no life without guidance from the ones who have lived and taken ownership of the challenges they faced and, in turn, can reciprocate to the next generation. Parenting is more than a biological connection. It's deeper than we can comprehend. How can a living or dead being affect another human? To understand, you must elevate above the physical form. In part IX, we covered the rule of three; the physical, mental and spiritual. The sync of the three triangle parts will help us feel the power of parenting.
Teaching derives from parenting as the action that follows next. The value shared by a teacher is the guidance one must soak in that will remain through a child's journey. A true instructor meets the students where they are to demonstrate an open mindset and heart to help them see the bridge to a better way. The patience in teaching comes from the spirit of parenting. As parent communicates with their young, a teacher collaborates with their students. A lifetime responsibility is planted inside the listener, and the core is strengthened inside the speaker.
Helping is sacred. When someone helps another person, it's not a one-on-one transaction; it's a ripple that travels from one end of the world to the other. A parent starts the wave, a teacher orients the boat, and a helper shows the way. Helping is not just giving to the homeless; it's a way of life that is endless that starts by helping yourself by utilizing truths within to move you in the direction necessary. If you help yourself, you will see the reason to help others. We are all capable of being broken, and seeing the way out comes in the form of help.
Sacrificing is the ultimate responsibility in one's life. Parents' true nature is to give up their livelihood for the betterment of their children so that they can impact the world around them for others to see and continue their excellent work. There are levels of giving up something in life to gain something later. It can be as simple as giving up your evenings to learn a new skill to be a better practitioner in any discipline. The act of sacrificing is a parent teaching how to help.
Fun is the reward of living. It's a challenging journey growing up in this world, and there is something that grounds us and captures our attention in a unifying behavior called laughter. When in a fun mode, the world and its problems are oblivion to us. We enter a moment that is no longer confined. A parent's responsibility is to promote fun on top of the teaching, the helping, and the sacrify. The world will drain you but having fun restores the energy to keep moving forward.
In part V, we covered how everything we support is extracted from the truth. The five responsibilities above are no different; in the world, they are extracted and practiced as independent dogma that misleads people in ways that continue to surprise us. Avoiding and recovering from such dark paths is possible by using truth from within yourself.
Responsibilities are no easy task; In fact, it's hard work. Ask a loving parent if raising their kids was a breeze. I can guarantee that it is not as a parent myself.
- The calming we feel when we see our little one sleep is worth every pain.
- The smile we get when our little ones accomplish a small task is worth every pain.
- The joy that rushes through our bodies when our little ones hug us is worth every pain.
Life is not straightforward, and it might feel backward at times, but having responsibilities will unlock the hidden path your eyes might be missing or the road your legs can't seem to find. You might not have physical talents, a genius mind, or a desirable appearance, but having responsibilities transcend your life experiences on many levels, and you will find yourself in places you would have never imagined.
Live to be surprised and don't take things for granted. The ripple presented today has traveled millions of years to arrive at this exact movement. Truth encodes the message, and your responsibility is the decrypting act. When someone shares the advice to "be you," it's the help coming from the parent's spirit who knows what it takes.
We will wrap the series in part 12.
