True Love Is Not Something That Everyone Will Experience
Even then, it does not always last forever
True love is like the love between my parents. They were together for 60 years. And the love between them remained as strong. One without the other was like love no longer there.
When Mum died, Dad was on his own. It was hard for him without the person he loved for so long. The person who understood him better than anyone.
My neighbour was the same; he had been with his wife for 50 years after she died, he struggled without the love of his life. Whenever I met him in passing, he told me the same story. It was of his love for his wife and how much he missed her.
When I lost my husband, although we didn’t have 50 or 60 years together because we had only just started our married life.
The love we had was different.
Young. Fresh. New.
But I still missed living without the love of my life.
To experience lasting true love is never a given.
If you are lucky enough to experience romantic love like that.
Nurture that love for as long as it lasts
Love can be many things.
Or not there at all.
