Transgress with Me: Eleven of my Best

I have now published 211 stories on Medium.

Copyright the Author

When I last put out a post promoting eleven of my stories, my total on Medium was 111. So, like Marie A. Rebelle — who tagged me in her Bakers Dozen summary — I will try and do this after every 100 tales.

Statistics

Here are a few statistics for you.

  • While I have been busy writing my last 100 tales, May More stories in general have received 38,211 views.
  • My most viewed story from the last 100 was erotica — A Lusty Lunchtime with a Neighbour. Which is nearing 2K views.
  • The story that has singly made me the most money, in the last 100 stories, is — Elegant is as… So far, it has earned me just over $38.
  • At this, moment in time, Spelling Beautiful has my highest amount of fans at 46.
  • Clappers — we like them, don’t we Smillew Rahcuef, makes us feel we are being heard. The most claps I have had for a single story from the last 100 is 1.4K for one of the stories I will showcase — Lament for a Groupie Girl.
  • The story that has the highest view to read ratio is Gimme More with over 70%.
  • My distribution percentage rate in general is 13.27%. This isn’t too bad considering I write mainly Transgressive and Erotic Fiction. Out of the last 100 published, 12 were distributed by Medium.
  • My most viewed and read story since I started medium is Squealed on Tantalizing Tales, with 6.5K views. This one story has earned me a total, so far, of nearly $400.
  • My top ever non-fiction: Music Memories Gifted by my Mum was distributed, has had 1.2K views but has only earned me $0.53! As a whooping 98% of views are external!
  • I have 5 referrals and want to thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
  • Currently, 9 of the last 100 stories have over 1K views.

Having studied my statistics, I have decided that I want to showcase the fiction stories that I think are my very best from the last 100. Not those that have received the most views.

I have been editor on Paul Mansfield wonderful Redemption Magazine since October, and I think I have really upped my game where my fiction writing is concerned. I am certainly enjoying it. So, in no particular order…

1) Lament for a Groupie Girl

This one is only four weeks old, has received the most claps from my last 100 tales, and also has over 400 views. It was inspired by a prompt on Microcosm.

2) Protecting the Innocent

I was commenting to the amazing individual, Raine Lore recently that I like writing fiction that delves into mental health issues, and this one does exactly that. Medium liked it too and kindly distributed it.

3) Punished for Living

I wrote this on a whim. Just came into my head.

4) Jane Meets the girl of her Dreams

I published this only a few weeks ago. It involved a lot of work as it is written in both the first and third person and jumps tenses too. Heavily self edited. To be honest, I have been really pleased with how it has been received. It is an eleven-minute read but has a good view/read ratio and has already had over 200 views.

5) Still

I think this story is one of my favourite that I have ever written. It is very sad but full of joy too.

6) My Pretend boyfriend is Dead

Inspired by a microcosm prompt, and I just smile when I think about it. I hope you enjoy…

7) Navigating Life’s Angles

A story that is close to my heart and transgresses only in one small area. It’s a big transgression, though. I really think this deserves more reads.

8) The Power of giving

My Christmas day — very transgressive story — that was even distributed by Medium. Way to go, ME…

9) Dancing on the Earth #1

More fiction that I am proud of and distributed by Medium. This is part one. They also curated part two. Religious transgression, so if you are not a fan, then avoid. But to be honest, if I was you, I would check it out just for my Jesus header image.

10) Staring Death in the Face

Another I am proud of. I thought a lot while I was writing this. Trying to get it just right. You decide.

11) The Threads of my Life

All the stories so far have been transgressive in some way and from Redemption Magazine or Microcosm. This one went to The Lark. It is a festive tale, but really just about the memories of the main character.

That’s my eleven… Those stories that I feel are worthy of this platform we are all navigating — Medium…

To finish one More from May — of course!

An erotic transgressive series about a wife who was caged by her husband to try and cure her deviant behaviour… You guys like it:
