2. CARL FREDRIK REUTERSWÄRD — SCULPTURE
Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd (1934–2016), was a Swedish artist, renowned for his iconic “Non-Violence” sculpture. Inspired by the tragic assassination of his friend, John Lennon, in 1980, Reuterswärd created a bronze revolver with a knotted barrel, rendering it forever inoperable.

With the ongoing war in Ukraine and the recently escalated conflict between Israel and Hamas, his “Non-Violence” sculpture seems more than ever to be a timeless reminder of the need for a more peaceful world.
