To Die Is to Be Reborn

a poem

Photo by Daria Shevtsova on Unsplash

our culture fears death

we are taught that death is the end

what if dying is not what we think is not what we fear

in truth death is a transition a transformation of the soul of our consciousness

consciousness is a part of the collective conscious a part of eternity

when the body dies our soul lives on our soul is reunited back to source back to the collective whole

to love life is to love death to live life is to accept death to die and be reborn

living is dying and dying is living the cycle of death and rebirth the most profound transition of our lives

we will all face death someday so why not die a good death why not give the process

dignity

grace

respect

Inspired by this quote prompt from Samantha Lazar:

He allowed himself to be swayed by his conviction that human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them, but that life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves. ― Gabriel García Márquez, Love in the Time of Cholera
