This week's writing prompt on the website invites reflection on the concept of personal truth, encouraging writers to explore how they embody and defend their own principles and beliefs in their daily lives.

Abstract

The website presents a thought-provoking prompt for the week, focusing on the theme of "our truth." It invites readers to consider the nature of truth as it pertains to individual beliefs, actions, and choices. The prompt suggests that while ultimate truth may be elusive, personal truth is tangible and shapes our existence. Writers are encouraged to reflect on their personal truths, the ways they stand up for them, and the impact these truths have on relationships with others. The website also highlights the connection between personal truth and authenticity, suggesting that past articles on authenticity may provide further insight. Additionally, it showcases a selection of articles from the previous week's prompt on ENERGY, acknowledging contributors who have shared their perspectives on the topic.

This Week’s Prompt: 29–5.07

All things truth.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, now and forever!

Truth.

How can we write about truth if we don’t know what it is, you may wonder. Well, you’re right. We may not know the ultimate truth about this world and its purpose. All we really have is beliefs, assumptions, theories, knowledge. That’s fine. We live, we learn, we discover more and more with each inhaled breath.

However, the ultimate truth is nowhere near as significant at this point in life as our truth. You know, the sum of what makes our life ours. The principles that lead our existence, actions, choices, outcomes.

Here’s the main question for us to ponder on for this week’s prompt: What is our truth and how do we own it?

Let’s reflect on how we stand up for this truth each day. Let’s recall moments when we haven’t done it and why. Let’s think about the relationship between our truth and the people in our life: Do they clash or do they compliment each other?

Delve as deep into this topic as you wish and be as creative as ever! You already know there’s no right or wrong. There just is.

If anyone’s having trouble, feel free to go back and re-read some of the pieces on authenticity, as these two topics are closely linked together.

Looking forward to reading your content! :)
