Energy — Which Terminal Are You?

There are two types of energy: potential and kinetic. We are the definition of potential energy, all stored up. The kinetic energy can come out in positive ways or negative ways just like a battery has a positive terminal and a negative terminal.
Like everything else that is energy, we have a natural frequency. A healthy human body has a certain frequency. Each of us has a natural one on the continuum. There are people that many are attracted to that has nothing to do with them being extroverts or introverts. I believe and research backs it up that we are attracted to positive energy fields. We tend to be attracted to those that have a higher natural frequency and are often made uncomfortable by those that have a lower one.
Our natural frequency can determine if we are healthy or sickly. The lower the frequency, the more vulnerable we are to illness. We have the ability to change our natural frequency. Positive thoughts can raise it. Negative thoughts can lower it. Negative thoughts have more impact than positive thoughts on our natural frequency. If we are surrounded by the same amounts of positive and negative thoughts, we will be slowly causing our body, mind, and spirit harm. Many things like exercise, meditation, praying, positive affirmations, gratefulness, surrounding ourselves with positive people and situations can help. We, like a battery, store up that positive energy to raise our natural frequency. The reverse is also true if we live as a victim or around people that are negative and abusive that over time will lower our natural frequency.
Stimuli for the most part are neutral. Picture laying on a raft in the middle of a lake. For many, that imagery would bring positive emotions, but, if you were afraid of the water, that same situation would be terrifying. It is how we respond to things and which emotions they trigger that make them positive or negative for us. It is our response that makes it a growing or destructive event. If our response in a challenging situation is to seek for ways it can make us grow, then it will raise our frequency. If we relive situations that caused us pain, our bodies will process it like the original event. Our brain does not distinguish between things that we physically or mentally do. Athletes use this technique to pre-perform routines.
Personally, I recharge by being around and talking with close friends. I recharge by getting exercise and exercising my mind. I recharge by sleeping regular hours. Being emphatic, hanging around large groups of people can be great and draining. Helping others empowers me and can wear me out. I need quiet time where I can let my mind and thoughts relax and process to refresh myself. One thing that has helped me recharge lately is checking out and reading people’s posts here on Know Thyself, Heal Thyself. I check it each morning.
Also, being around my dog used to be one of the best ways to recharge…
