This Week’s Prompt: 14–18.12

3 days of reflection

Howdy-doody, lovely people!

Last week’s 5 days of reflection blew my mind! I still cannot believe how many of you joined the challenge and submitted articles daily/every other day. Self reflection isn’t easy and it requires a level of honesty that is often uncomfortable.

Furthermore, to journal your emotions on a public platform, now that takes a lot of courage. Do you realize how brave you are? I am here to remind you, in case you don’t. You are incredibly couragous, for both sharing your thoughts and taking responsability for your life.

Since it was so well received, I decided to repeat the experience a few more times until the end of this month, but in a slightly different manner. This week we will do 3 days of reflection, with one day off in between. The questions will vary a little and some may be more or less uncomfortable than the others.

As always, only join us if it resonates! Be creative, be you. No right, no wrong! There just is.

Monday: How do you measure personal growth? How do you know when you’ve grown as a person?

Wednesday: What emotions do you find it hardest to accept within yourself?

Friday: How do you balance self-acceptance and self-improvement?

That’s it folks. Looking forward to your journal entries!

Before you go, I’d like to say that it’s inevitable certain disagreements will arise between writers on certain topics, especially when there’s 100 of them, as is the case now at Know Thyself. It is how we all choose to react and handle these situations that truly matters. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree, in a respectful manner, of course. We are on different paths, we have different views and beliefs and that’s okay. It is our commitment to growth and bettering ourselves that brought us together, so please, only take what resonates from each person, for there is a valuable lesson in each article, poem and so on.

Thank you!
