So, in some of my earlier posts, I’ve talked about all sorts of stuff about smartphones. You can find the links to those at the bottom of this post, by the way.

But right now, I wanna chat about this super cool new thing that might just find its way into the Google Pixel 8.

There’s been a bunch of brands stepping up their Android phone game recently, rolling out phones that are loaded with specs and some seriously cool features.

One of the standouts was definitely the Google Pixel 7 and its sibling, the Google Pixel 7 Pro. Both of these bad boys ran on a pure version of Android, and the Pro version even flaunted one of the slickest cameras out there. And the best part? They didn’t break the bank, which made them a hit.

But guess what? The spotlight’s shifting over to the upcoming Google Pixel 8 lineup. Going by how things have gone before, we’re probably looking at an October launch for these devices. However, the grapevine has been eerily silent about them till now.

Thankfully, we’ve got a little tidbit of info that’s shining some light on what upgrades might be in the works. The tech gurus, Mishaal Rahman and Kamila Wojciechowska have spilled the beans. It seems like the new models might just be rolling in with features that’ll jazz up the way we do group photos.

So, where’s this info coming from? Well, it seems like the Pixel Superfans group got a peek at it through some surveys. The buzz is that they’re cooking up an AI-driven method to make group shots look killer. They’re throwing around lines like,

“No worries if someone’s distracted during a group photo, your phone’s AI can still make it into a perfect group photo.”

Plus, there’s talk of a feature that can merge everyone’s best shots into one fantastic team picture, all thanks to the phone’s AI wizardry.

Word on the street is that these tweaks will be a part of the Magic Editor. This little marvel was actually unveiled at the Google IO event earlier in the summer. It’s all about super cool AI-powered photo editing. We saw it in action, moving subjects around in a pic while the AI filled in the gaps.

Sounds like a big step up, right? Wojciechowska gave some insights, hinting that you could:

“Instantly change the photo background, peoples’ clothes, or truly anything else in the photo.”

Honestly, it sounds like a powerhouse tool. Of course, we can’t pass the final verdict until we actually get our hands on it, but the concept alone seems like a real winner. Especially the idea of the AI automatically picking the best face for each person — that’s just genius.

If you’re someone who’s all about group selfies, you know the struggle. It’s like everyone looks awesome in one shot, but getting that one pic where everyone’s a total rockstar? Tough cookie. But with the ability to mix and match the best bits for each person, those problems might be history.

Final Words

The countdown’s on — less than two months until the big launch. So, it won’t be long before we’re diving into more juicy details.

And keep your eyes peeled — it’s a bit strange that there haven’t been many leaks or rumors yet.

But you can bet your bottom dollar that they’ll start popping up as the big day draws nearer.
