This Is How Life Is Without A Pesky Boss.
In short — It is awesome

I can tell you straight in the face. It is awesome. Really. Now I have to qualify. I am nothing against all bosses. In fact, there is a reason they get there. I do refer to that unfortunate sample that I managed to cross path out of my personal good fortune, and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
I learned so much being around them, and I learned so much thereafter. Let me explain.
If you happen to work for a pesky personality which is a function of micro-management, get panicky when their superiors kick their ass, harass you at 2 am for a status update — Welcome to the World I experienced, comrade.
I am glad that this World is now behind me.
And to their credit, of course, I learned many things from them. Many of these things are reminders where I constantly tell myself not to do what they do. That means I observe what they do, reverse it, and then carry on with my life.
I wouldn’t want to call my team member at 2 am for a status update. It is my fault for not asking during working hours.
Yes, do not punish the team member for our negligence. I refuse to be that kind of a**hole.
Next, it pushes me out of my comfort zone. I am on a constant lookout for greener pastures. One without a human element. With direct employment, having a good boss is a 50/50.
Never forget, the bosses choose you. The reverse doesn’t happen.
I think that is the reason people are trying their best to crack the Medium code. There is no one is breathing down our necks.
If the stories don’t meet the mark, the editors leave a note to reject your story.
What a breather.
A Day of Reflection.
