YES I’M SOUL-LESS AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT

The Welfare of Children Is At Stake

I could care less about children just check my voting record.

Today's Republican Party leaves me so speechless that I should change careers and become a mime. Then I won’t have to discuss their latest vote against common sense legislation.

The U.S. House of Representatives recently voted on a bipartisan bill that would aid child sex abuse victims. The bill was called the Respect for Child Survivors Act. The bill addresses how the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) would handle sexual abuse cases with children.

No brainer right? Protect children.

Twenty-eight Congress persons voted against the bill. Twenty-one of them are from southern states. And there is no need for you to ask. Yes, Andy Biggs, Lauren Boebert, Mo Brooks, Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Chip Roy voted no. These seven persons can be counted on to oppose anything that helps what Jesus called the least of these.

I hope that parents, grandparents, guardians, social workers, medical personnel, and educators in their districts remember their no votes against the most vulnerable in our society.

Nelson Mandela stated the truth better than I can when he said,

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”
