The Universe Sends Optimistic Signs

I read and I hear the right ways to live

Listen for messages constantly

The universe is sending some powerful messages of change and optimism. I have been picking them up as I read stories on ILLUMINATION.

Here are a some the remind us that the world will be a better place because you and I will work to make the changes that are necessary. We are already doing our part by reading and writing. By putting our ideas and positivity out into the universe in our words.

I’ve read works that have inspired me, taught me how a simple item works to save lives, and how traveling breaks the bubbles that surround all of us.

Goddess Enchantment Oracle Card Message of the Day

Fortuna

Carrie Kirkpatrick’s “Goddess Enchantment” card came up Fortuna — Lady Luck.

Carrie reminds us that Fortuna is the Roman Goddess of Abundance and Good Fortune.

I know I feel good fortune and abundance everyday I wake up, say hi to my friends, read some great works that inspire me (thanks to everyone here at Illumination) and have a chance to be creative and write a little bit. It always helps me to be a better person getting to know what others are thinking and creating, then trying my hand as well.

I love the idea of abundance!

It isn’t all materialism and purchasing power. It is the knowledge that our minds and hearts can build beauty anytime we put our minds and efforts to doing so.

Lots of love to everyone. 💗💗💗

For more Oracle card goodness, check out Infiniti and Tree Langdon ♾️ who were the ones who got me interested in the cards. Also, Marla Bishop who will be getting a Unicorn Oracle card set soon.

Here are some messages you have given to me lately in your excellent stories and poems

We’re always growing so don’t ever give up

Renee Dubeau writes that we’re always growing, changing and improving. Even when we don’t notice it at the time we are going through our struggles that strengthen us and make us into the people we are right now.

“If I had left this earth twenty years ago, I would have missed out on the best days of my life.

“That’s why I would also tell my younger self, and anyone dealing with thoughts of suicide, it gets better. It always does.

“We learn, we grow, new people and opportunities come into our lives.

“We change and evolve. It happens so slowly, we might not even realize it.

“But, one day when we look back on those moments that define us, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come.” — Renee Dubeau

Summer Flies In

Bridget Webber shares a beautiful poem with us about summer time. I always love Bridget’s writing.

The Science of N95 Masks

I always wear a P95 or a R95 industrial mask when I’m out and about (to save the N95 masks for medical workers). Vishnu Arun explains the science of how the N95 mask works to filter out coronavirus and other microscopic particles in the air.

“Thus, by incorporating a series of ingenious techniques the engineers of this simple yet complicated respiratory device have made an immense amount of difference in the lives of countless human beings with the difference, perhaps being a matter of life and death.” — Vishnu Arun.

Influential LGBTQIA+ people in India are making fantastic societal changes

evolv ideas writes about the dynamic and influential LGBTQIA+ people who are making an difference in Indian society.

“Some Indian societies that are underexposed to such ideas, parochially harbour ideologies that consider homosexuality and gender dysmorphia to be taboos.

“As Jason Collins, an openly gay man, once said: “Openness may not completely disarm prejudice, but it’s a good place to start.”

“Similarly, the LGBTQIA+ society of India is working tirelessly towards spreading awareness and endorsing their rights.

“Despite the current regressive sociopolitical environment in India, here are a few individuals who have confronted gender norms and societal standards to stand up for LGBTQIA+ individuals.” — evolv ideas.

Travel to break free from your bubble

Nada Chehade reminds us the importance of travel in realizing that we live in bubbles. I love watching travel videos in these days when in person travel is limited. Reading Nada’s story also lets me travel in my mind and break the bubble that surrounds me.

“I didn’t realize what a bubble I came from until I left the UAE and started to travel and discovered just how Abu Dhabi I am. That’s why I’m a huge proponent of traveling.” — Nada Chehade.

Want to be a better writer and potentially increase your budget by about $30 per month?

Aravind Balakrishnan says to forget about Grammarly and learn a few simple rules to be a better writer and save a monthly subscription fee.

A warm welcome to some new ILLUMINATION writers:

How to build a drone

Komal Venkatesh Ganesan writes about how to build a drone! Pretty cool.

“Learning drone-engineering will expose you to an amazing world of possibilities. Whether you are a software engineer or just a hobbyist wanting to fly, it is an immersive experience like no other. It will even enable you to develop Autonomous Drones with modern machine learning tools and RaspberryPIs.” — Komal Venkatesh Ganesan.

How to get rich with Etherium (satire)

Leonard B. Butz tells how he earned some money with Etherium in his satire “How I made 22€ with Etherium.”

More words of wisdom from the universe

Roxana Bouwer reminds us to not hold on too tightly.

“(We) all start from zero and we’re all somewhere on our separate paths from seed to tree.” — Roxana Bouwer.

Chris Hedges, BA (journalism / political science), JD, is an editor at ILLUMINATION, The Bad Influence (Reuben Salsa let Ryan Fan publish a story today about ugly cars over there!), and Red Curtain Erotica. I also dabble in creativity at chrishedges.co.
