The Truth About Reincarnation
Is it false doctrine?

I. Is Reincarnation Biblical?
The concept of reincarnation is one of the things that will frustrate you as a spiritual seeker.
Reincarnation is the belief that the soul of a person who lived and died comes back as another person in a new body to live again.
The Bible says that we die once and then we await judgment. So is the concept of reincarnation biblical?
Well, I’m going to give you some information that will help you decide for yourself.
No one knows the ultimate truth about reincarnation. The cases we’ve seen so far do not provide enough proof to fully support it, but they provide evidence that says reincarnation is real.
Children can be found all over the web who have reported they have memories of a previous life. You find that many of these children come from places where people believe in reincarnation and others from places that completely reject the concept of reincarnation. In many of these cases, the revelations of the children have corresponded to a particular individual who is already dead. Many have the same birthmarks or defects that correspond to the mark or defect of someone already dead. They have personality traits or phobias related to someone who is dead. And the people there believed.
But the church continues to disprove reincarnation because it is not mentioned in the Bible. But is everything in the Bible?
If it takes something to be mentioned in the bible for it to be biblical, then reincarnation is not biblical as it was never mentioned. But the concept was talked of by Jesus himself and yet the church continues to disprove it.
Yes. The devil gets smarter. He has an advantage with age and wisdom. He is able to lead people away with false teachings and doctrine, but is the concept of reincarnation demonic?
II. Is Reincarnation Demonic?
What can we say? That the children and adults who claim to remember certain details of their past lives are all demonic? No, they’re not. Could they be? Yes, they could be because the world is nothing but opposites, but does that make the concept of reincarnation a false doctrine or teachings of the devil?
I don't know.
Jesus entertains the concept of reincarnation. He did it with Elijah and John the Baptist. His disciples asked him if John was Elijah's incarnate. He didn't rebuke any demons or his disciples.
The fact that Jesus did not rebuke his disciples for believing in weird knowledge such as reincarnation gives you a clue.
Jesus was a mystic. A sage. A supremely logical thinker and a highly intelligent man. He is also all-knowing and would know there would be confusion and people would wake up and start asking questions. Many centuries have passed, and people would start looking for lost truths. Being who He is and knowing this, he entertained the idea. He played with it.
In the gospel of Mark, Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way, he asked them, “Who do people say I am?” His disciples replied. “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah, and still others one of the prophets.” At the time, Elijah wasn’t on the earth and so Jesus would have set things right if the concept of being reborn was impossible or demonic.
Did Jesus ignore the implications of those questions and statements made by himself and his disciples, knowing they would be recorded in the Bible?
And what did Jesus do when his disciples asked about it?
He said, “If you’re willing to accept it, John the Baptist was the Elijah who was to come.”
And yet his own followers today are not willing to accept it and challenge those who do.
When people do not understand something or do not have enough information about something, they call it demonic. It would be the only thing that makes sense. It’s a passive alternative to searching for the truth. We’ve seen this even in biblical times. Jesus was casting out demons and the Pharisees could not understand how he was doing it. They said He was casting out demons by black magic. The same thing happens today.
What’s not understood is called black magic or craziness.
III. Is Reincarnation Real?
If reincarnation is not biblical and not demonic, then what is it?
The concept of reincarnation is controversial. Humans can’t say that it’s not real, nor do we have evidence to support it.
The only way to know what happens in the afterlife is if we're dead. And yet, reincarnation is not something you can dismiss with a wave of the hand.
God isn’t a small god. He’s almighty and never changes, but he grows wiser, just as humans do because we are made in the image and likeness of God. God does not change in the same way you can’t change a man. He does not stop being good, so we are not destroyed, but God changes his approach as the world changes. The devil ages and gets smarter. God changes his approach as the world changes.
You can’t place God in a box and restrict what he can do.
If God wants to grant a soul another chance to come to the earth so he does not perish, God can do it. If he needed the spirit of a great man like Elijah back on the earth to pave the way for Jesus in the body of John the Baptist, couldn’t He do it? If a person’s soul was close to reaching maturity but because of death or something couldn’t complete all that he was sent to do, is it too hard for God to say go back and finish what you started?
Nothing is impossible for God and that we know is biblical.
The Bible says it is appointed for the average man to die once and await judgment. But great spirits are readily available to be sent to the earth to do great work. Great men like Elijah get to reincarnate as an even greater man, John the Baptist, to do greater works.
So does this mean every Tom, Dick, and Harriet gets to reincarnate?
I doubt that.
Many souls perish before they die. Many sell their souls to the devil and taint their spirits so it doesn’t belong with God.
Reincarnation takes the favor of God. The universe. For most of us, when we die, we are dead until God speaks concerning us.
The Bible says that when a person dies, the dust which is the body returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God, who gave it. It is the human spirit that gives us a consciousness of self. It is what makes a person godly or devilish. It’s what makes them good or evil.
The human spirit is our consciousness, mindset, emotions, fears, passions, and creativity. The body goes to sleep to await judgment as the spirit return to God, who gave it.
So does every spirit go back to God? Yes. The holy spirits.
Is reincarnation too hard for God? Nothing is too hard.
“And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous — to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” (The Bible)
So why didn’t Jesus teach about reincarnation? I don’t know. And why did John deny that he was Elijah’s incarnate?
When John the Baptist was asked if he was Elijah, his answer was that “I am not.” So how can then we reconcile that reincarnation is real if John denied it?
John the Baptist was human. Ask a person if he remembers even the first year of their life and they will struggle to remember. We know from the words of Jesus that John was more than a prophet.
“John was the Elijah who was to come.”
Those were Jesus’s words. John was very much aware of his soul’s mission. He knew he was the one who was to prepare the way for the son of God. Elijah was indeed a great man. He didn’t even die! John was humble enough to not think of himself as someone as great as Elijah.
Or could John have denied it because he didn’t know his true identity? Just as you and I aren’t supposed to know about reincarnation and concern ourselves with past lives?
It is good that most of us don’t remember a thing about anything from the past because knowing those details would be a hindrance to our current life’s mission.
There is no doubt that the Bible is one of the great books to be ever written. There is also no doubt that the Bible landed in the hands of men whose acts weren’t holy.
The Bible is to be taken as God’s words, but if you can only believe what’s written by man, you’ll ask no questions. You will seek no truths. Your knowledge will be very limited and you’ll always be one step behind.
People perish for lack of knowledge.
I’m not here to change your mind or make you believe in something that doesn’t make sense or sit right with your spirit. I’m here to make you see things in a different light so you can figure things out for yourself.
I don’t know for a fact that we reincarnate when we die. Until I’m dead, I’m not enlightened. What I do know is that you can’t believe everything people say, but you can’t disbelieve them either. You must question everything and spend your days searching for the truth.
The truth about reincarnation is that you can choose not to believe it, but don’t challenge it.
Standing firm on the teaching of the greatest person who ever lived and continues to live within us, teaching us all things, I believe reincarnation is possible because, with God, all things are.
