The Technical Playtest for Payday 3 Will Begin Next Week
The Payday 3 technical playtest will be on Steam in a week.

So, in some of my earlier stories, I’ve talked about Payday 3 and some other cool FPS games. You can find the links to those at the end of this post.
But now, I wanna get into Payday 3 again and spill the beans on the latest news about a technical playtest for this awesome upcoming shooter. Hold on tight, ’cause it’s gonna be a fun and wild ride!
Recent news on Payday 3
Starbreeze Studios and Prime Matter have just dropped another teaser trailer for Payday 3, the much-awaited cooperative heist sequel. But hold your horses, ’cause this 21-second clip gives away even less than the previous teaser. Come on, guys, we need more!
But hey, there’s a silver lining. At least they spilled the beans on when we’ll get to see the game in action. It’s gonna be this summer, y’all! So mark your calendars and get ready to see some serious heisting action.
Now, while the teaser is playing hard to get, we did get some juicy tidbits from other sources. Steam news revealed that Payday 3 will be powered by Unreal Engine and will bring back those four awesome protagonists we loved from the previous games. Good to know!
But there’s a cloud hanging over this heist extravaganza. We all remember the mess Starbreeze faced after the disaster of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, right? Bankruptcy scares, police raids, and insider trading allegations — yikes! Not exactly smooth sailing.
Starbreeze says they’re past all that and things are going smoothly with Payday 3’s development. Fingers crossed! We want to believe them, but with the lack of info, it’s hard not to wonder what’s really going on behind the scenes.
We’ve got our eyes peeled for any more news coming our way. Hopefully, within a few months, we’ll get the full scoop on Payday 3 and whether it’ll bring our beloved developer back to glory. Hang tight, folks, the heist isn’t over yet!
Payday 3 technical playtest?
In this beta, you’ll find all four characters from the last game, each with their own special skills. Plus, there’s a heist called “No Rest for the Wicked” that you can tackle stealthily or go all out if that’s your style.
All difficulty levels will be available to play, but keep in mind there will be some limits on your character progression during the beta.
You can totally capture or stream your gameplay, but be prepared for a few glitches here and there. The devs want to focus on testing the servers and game stability, so they’re calling it a “technical test” rather than a full-fledged demo.
According to Tyler Wilde, the executive editor, Payday 3 still needs some work, but it’s also promising a lot of fun. The real excitement comes when everything goes haywire and you have to improvise.
You never know how it’ll turn out — maybe you’ll bounce back, maybe not, or perhaps everyone loses it and quits — but it’s always a thrilling time.
Final Words
If you’re itching to join the Payday 3 beta, head over to the Steam page and hit that “request access” button.
Xbox players can jump into the Xbox Insider Hub, go to previews, and select Payday 3.
Participants will be randomly chosen and get an email if they’re in — and just to be clear, preordering fancy editions won’t give you an edge. Good luck, and let’s get heisting!
