Summary

Joe Rogan, host of the popular podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience," is facing criticism for allegedly spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic and for making racist comments.

Abstract

Joe Rogan, the host of one of the top podcasts in the US, has been facing criticism for allegedly spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic. The controversy began when Rogan brought on two doctors who expressed views that contradicted mainstream medical opinions about the pandemic. The doctors, Dr. Robert W. Malone and Dr. Peter A. McCullough, have been accused of spreading misinformation about the effectiveness and safety of the COVID-19 vaccines. However, Rogan has defended his decision to bring on the doctors, citing his belief in freedom of speech and expression. In addition to the pandemic controversy, Rogan has also been criticized for making racist comments during his podcast. He has been accused of using the n-word multiple times and making racist jokes. Rogan has since apologized for his past comments.

Opinions

  • The author believes that people have the right to express their opinions, even if they are different from mainstream views.
  • The author believes that Rogan's decision to bring on doctors who expressed views that contradicted mainstream medical opinions was not a problem, as long as they were educated and had valid credentials.
  • The author does not believe that Rogan should be censored for his views on the pandemic.
  • The author believes that Rogan's past racist comments were not acceptable and that he should be held accountable for them.
  • The author believes that Rogan's apology for his past comments was not enough and that he should take further action to make amends.

The Real Reason Joe Rogan is Being Canceled

From “misinformation” to racist comments, the highly popular podcast host is under fire.

Joe Rogan has certainly become the topic of discussion in, I think, the last month or so.

The host of one of the top podcasts in the country The Joe Rogan Experience on Spotify has been going through some interesting controversy right now where a lot of artists, fellow podcasters, and people around the world are being heavily critical of Spotify for allegedly allowing Joe Rogan to spread “misinformation” about the pandemic?

Now things are heating up even more now that old clips of Joe Rogan are popping out of the woodworks of Twitter where he has made some anti-Black racist comments during some of his broadcasts.

So there’s a lot to unpack here.

I’m going to start with the pandemic issue first.

Now for the record, I am not a doctor. I have no doctoral experience. I’ve never thought about being one. None of that.

Having said that, I believe that people are allowed to have whatever opinion they want. You have the right to believe whatever you want. I’m not here to judge you. You can agree with Rogan and whatever the scientist that he brought on his show had said, or you can disagree. It’s all up to you.

I believe in freedom of speech. I believe in freedom of expression. I do not believe in censorship at all.

Now speaking of freedom of speech, again, Joe Rogan and Spotify have been receiving a lot of flak for allegedly having these doctors on his podcast spreading “misinformation.”

This has been an ongoing theme in this whole conversation since the start of the pandemic.

Now some of you maybe think, “What the hell this has to do with Black people?”

Well, it has everything to do with Black people because Black people have died from COVID-19. Black people were the first people that they were trying to get the vaccine to. Black people are involved in everything that happens in America.

It’s Black History Month, y’all!

Whenever something interesting happens in this country, Black people are always around.

So yes, it has everything to do with Black people. When you talk about comorbidities and pre-existing conditions, Black people lead the list because they feed us unhealthy food, sell us cigarettes and alcohol, and poison our community. That’s just what it is.

Now when I read that Joe was receiving all this heat because he brought on these doctors that were spreading “misinformation,” I expect that many people that listened to the interview probably believe that these doctors must be absolute jokes. These guys must have gotten their degrees at some no-name college online in a three-week program or something with no real training.

You got folks out there that believe that these are just some guys who woke up one morning and decided to call themselves doctors so they get people to believe in whatever bullshit that they’re trying to sell.

So I took it upon myself to research the doctors that allegedly spread “misinformation” on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Instead of just cutting them off immediately, I wanted to educate myself on these gentlemen and learn who they were and what’s their background.

Shout out to Wikipedia for the coming in the clutch.

Dr. Robert W. Malone is an American physician and biochemist. His early work focused on mRNA technology, pharmaceuticals, and drug repurposing research.

In the bio, it continues on by saying that promotes misinformation about the effectiveness and safety of the COVID-19 vaccines. That’s a huge no, no right there from Big Pharma. They don’t want you talking like that.

Big Pharma is all about making money and they don’t want anyone to disturb that.

Robert Malone received his BSc in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis in 1984, his MSc in biology from the University of California, San Diego in 1988, and his MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1991. He attended Harvard Medical School for a year-long postdoctoral studies program.

So as you read this and let it marinate for a minute, does this sounds like some guy pretending to be a doctor to you? Does this person sound like a person to spread any “misinformation” that mainstream media likes to portray to the audience? Does this sounds like a person who’s opinion should be completely discounted? Is he crazy? Is he just making shit up out of thin air?

Now I’m here to say that everything that this man says is right, but based on the information that was given, don’t you think this man deserves the right to have a perspective worth listening to?

Now on to the next doctor.

Peter Andrew McCullough ( born December 29, 1962) is an American cardiologist. He was vice chief of internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center and a professor at Texas A&M University.

Peter Andrew McCullough was born in Buffalo, New York, on December 29, 1962. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University in 1984 and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1988. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, a cardiology fellowship in 1991, and practiced internal medicine in Grayling, Michigan, for two years before enrolling in the University of Michigan School of Public Health, earning a master of public health (MPH) degree in 1994.

Again, I ask you, does this person sound like a joke that would spread “misinformation?” Does he?

So when you call guys like him a joke, you are also calling every institution that’s validated him a joke as well.

How are these two extremely educated doctors a joke? It just doesn’t make sense to automatically label these people as such.

Now I bet if these guys spewed rhetoric that agreed with Dr. Fauci, then there wouldn’t be an issue. But since they aren’t, and they’re instead challenging Dr. Fauci’s views and ideologies regarding the vaccine, that automatically puts you in the realm of “misinformation.”

If you turn on these mainstream media outlets like CNN, FOX News, and MSNBC, and the topic of vaccinations is brought up, they all agree with one another. It’s all one sided. There is no debate. Just get the shot and shut up.

So I disagree that these men deserve to be censored just because their perspective backed by their research and studies should be dismissed just because it’s different from what mainstream media promotes.

Now, this is where Joe Rogan does not get a pass with me.

Upon all the madness surrounding Joe Rogan in regards to him bringing those two doctors on his show, some people decided to do a little digging of their own on Joe Rogan and they’ve come across some very anti-Black racist remarks from Joe Rogan during some of the episodes of his podcast.

There are clips of him saying the n-word about twenty times from different episodes of his podcast like he had every right to say it.

He’s made a horrible comment about him going into a Black neighborhood and comparing it to a Planet of the Apes movie.

He was saying some out-of-pocket shit.

Now, Joe Rogan has apologized for his past comments.

“I know that to most people, there’s no context where a White person is ever allowed to say that, never mind publicly on a podcast, and I agree with that,” he said. “Now, I haven’t said it in years,” Rogan added.

Rogan also addressed a video of him comparing a Black neighborhood to a Planet of the Apes movie. “I certainly would never want to offend someone for entertainment with something as stupid as racism,” he said.

Now let’s keep in mind that Joe Rogan is a comedian. In comedy, I believe that comedians should have a certain level of immunity when it comes to certain things. I would give someone a pass to a certain degree when speaking on touchy subject matters.

Again, I do not believe in censorship like that.

But the comments that Joe Rogan has made weren’t in the realm of comedy. It had nothing to do with being funny.

But to be honest, that’s just the icing on the cake. Our brother, Tariq Nasheed, posted on his Twitter account that he’s been calling Joe Rogan out for years.

Joe Rogan has been bringing in a lot of alt-right people on his platform spewing anti-black propaganda.

Check this one out.

Now check this one out.

This is just some straight bullshit that I can’t let slide.

But it seems a lot of Black people are putting on the cape for Joe Rogan.

I’m scrolling through Twitter and I’m seeing Black people express that they don’t consider Joe Rogan a racist. They with him.

Even The Rock stood with him for a minute, until he learn about the racist remarks that Joe Rogan said, then he later backed off.

Black folks, this is some off code type stuff. Why are you so concerned with grabbing your shields and defending Joe Rogan?

That’s off-code as hell.

Do you see white folks trying to come to the aid of Whoopi Goldberg after her comments on the Holocaust and Jewish people? No. Because white people know how to remain on code with one another.

Black folks, you’re going to have to start doing the same thing when it comes to us. These folks ain’t worried us, so why should we?

Also, understand this:

White people don’t get fired, they get transferred.

I used to work at a packaging plant — I’ve worked there for over three years. My first foreman was a white man named Kevin. He was basically the leader of my shift at the time. Let me tell you on how he got the position. He used to work at another sector of the plant called Poly B — I was in Poly D.

He got into a situation over at Poly B because he called a Black man the n-word. He thought he was “down enough” with the brothers over there that he could use the word as a term of endearment. He thought wrong. That brother was about to whoop his ass for disrespecting him. But in typical white supremacist fashion, Kevin got transferred to my block, Poly D.

He was just a regular packaging tech like me until about two weeks later, a foreman position came up and he went to my supervisor at the time — who was white — and said he want the job. Guess what, he got the damn job!

So he didn’t get fired, dodged an ass whooping, got transferred to a better work environment, then got promoted.

That is true. I am not making this up.

That told me that having a white skin can get you ahead in the system of white supremacy. White privilege is real.

So trust me when I tell you, Joe Rogan is going to be alright. He’s already being offered $100 million by another company.

So please, Black people, take off your cape and chill out.
