Summary

The article discusses the systemic exploitation of Black people in America to maintain white supremacy, focusing on the educational system, the entertainment industry, and debt accumulation through higher education.

Abstract

The author reflects on the perpetuation of white supremacy through various mechanisms that exploit Black individuals. It is argued that the educational system fails to educate Black children adequately, instead promoting a white-centric narrative while benefiting financially from their attendance. The entertainment industry is criticized for tokenistic recognition of Black achievements, which distracts from systemic disrespect and racism. Additionally, the article highlights the burden of student loan debt on Black college students, suggesting that the pursuit of higher education at predominantly white institutions often leads to significant financial debt without commensurate value. The author encourages critical thinking about these issues and advocates for support of Black-owned institutions and media as a form of resistance and empowerment.

Opinions

  • The educational system is seen as a tool for miseducating Black children, perpetuating white supremacy, and financially benefiting from their miseducation.
  • Hollywood and the entertainment industry are accused of using Black excellence as a facade to cover up systemic racism and to keep Black individuals invested in a system that disrespects them.
  • The author believes that the celebration of Black achievements within predominantly white institutions should be met with skepticism, as these institutions are also responsible for the oppression of Black people.
  • Student loan debt is viewed as a trap that disproportionately affects Black students, leading to a lifetime of debt without significant improvement in their socioeconomic status.
  • There is a call to action for Black individuals to support Black-owned schools, media, and businesses as a means of true progress and self-determination.
  • The author suggests that the current system is designed to keep Black people subjugated and that a reevaluation of the value of traditional education is necessary for the community's advancement.

3 Easy Ways White People Uses Black People

Today, I’m going to give you some ideas on how Black people are being used to maintain the system of white supremacy

So I wanted to share something that kind of came to my mind today as I was working out in the gym listening to some podcast and loud rap music to help get me in that zone to crush leg day — which was pretty good and painful in a good way.

I was thinking about Black people and our role in America and what it means to be a descendant of a slave, what it means to make progress, and break out of our cage.

I thought I would decompose a few things for you real quick that would allow you to understand how America uses Black people to maintain the system of White Supremacy.

As you know, for the last 400 years, we have been talking about reparations and other tangibles that are genuinely owed to Black people for the trillions of dollars that were taken in wealth.

Now what some Black people may not understand is that over a trillion dollars a year are being taken from us already, maybe even more than that, in all the different ways that we give wealth and resources back to them.

If Black people kept even half of the income that we earn from all the different things that we do, we would be one of the richest groups on Earth.

So don’t ever let anybody think that Black people never have money because that’s simply not true.

So let me throw 3 reasons on how white people use Black people to remain the dominant society.

The Educational System

White public schools need us to attend their schools.

Their public schools are garbage. They don’t educate Black people very well and don’t teach us anything about ourselves.

These public schools will throw slave masters like George Washington and tell us how great he supposedly was, but won’t teach you about revolutionaries like Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey.

Even though these schools are failing, these schools receive lots of money per head for every little Black child that they miseducate.

So they’re making money by destroying the minds of Black children.

This is why we need to build and support Black-owned schools that are running and taught by Black educators who aren’t brainwashed by white folks.

The Entertainment Industry

They need you to believe in Hollywood even though we know it’s racist.

They need you sit around, get excited, and scream “Black excellence!” every time you see a Black person win an Oscar.

Seriously, think about this: you are seriously ecstatic over the fact that white people acknowledged you when they’re actually spending all their time disrespecting you.

That’s like a kid in school that’s trying to get acknowledged by the bullies that beat him up and get his lunch money taken every day.

That sounds like someone who needs a self-esteem vaccine along with a booster shot.

So really need to take a step back and come to media has always been a major tool in the white supremacist's toolbox.

Media comes in the form of television, print media, audio, and everything else. It’s all designed to warps our brains.

If you look at urban radio stations, for example, are designed to promote music that encourages young Black people to be ignorant as possible so that they can never compete with white people.

This is why I support the new Black media such as Tariq Nasheed, Dr. Boyce Watkins, Vicki Dillard, and other grassroots Black media.

The Debt

They need us to go deep in debt so we can attend their white universities.

Many Black college students think they are doing better and improving their plight and their family’s situation, but they’re kind of being mislead.

You’re being guided down this path toward $50,000 to $100,000 in student loan debt. Some people are paying more than that.

I remember during my last year at LSU (FYI I didn’t graduate) and I ran into this white woman who was a student-teacher of mine in my Music Theory 102 class. She was always nice and respectful towards me.

I came out of one of the LSU College of Music and ran into her. We said hello and chatted for a little while. She told me that she just finished her doctorate program for musicology that year.

I told her congratulations and wished her the best, but she didn’t seem happy for someone who’s about to add “Dr.” in front of their name.

And I’ll never forget when she told me that she’s probably going to be in debt for the rest of her life then told me goodbye as she was on her way to her part-time job at Victoria’s Secret.

You can’t help but think to yourself “Well, was it worth it?” Probably not, maybe.

It’s the reason why I never went back to college. It wasn’t worth my money and, most of all, my time anymore.

So what happens is that what your doing is borrowing a lot of money to overpay for a committee that does not have the value that white folks claim for it to have.

It’s all designed to sign away not only your future but your family’s financial future away so that they can have their heaven on Earth.

Hopefully, this will get through to some of you to help you think more clearly.
