Summary

The article discusses the detrimental impact of white supremacy on the education of Black children, suggesting that the current education system perpetuates racial inequality by failing to teach Black students about their history and culture, thus producing unintelligent and culturally disconnected individuals.

Abstract

The article "How White Supremacy and Schools Destroys The Minds of Black People" argues that the education system in America is a tool of white supremacy, which not only fails to educate Black children but also indoctrinates them into a white-centric worldview. It posits that the prevalence of white teachers in predominantly Black public schools contributes to the intellectual and cultural suppression of Black students. The author, Jaron Mays, emphasizes that this systemic issue begins in childhood education, where Black students are not taught their true history or how to value their own cultural identity. The result is a generation of Black individuals who either struggle with basic literacy and critical thinking or conform to white societal expectations to advance in a system inherently biased against them. The article calls for Black communities to take charge of educating their youth to foster a sense of pride and intelligence that will empower them to contribute positively to their communities.

  • It is implied that Black individuals who succeed within predominantly white institutions may do so at the cost of their cultural integrity, adopting subservient roles to appease white authority figures.
  • The author advocates for Black communities to educate their children independently to combat the pervasive influence of white supremacy in the mainstream education system.

How White Supremacy and Schools Destroys The Minds of Black People

Black children are not going to school to be educated, they are being trained to be white supremacists in Black face

All skinfolk a’int kinfolk. I’m pretty sure that a lot of folks, particularly Black people, have heard this phrase at some point in their life. I’ve been on this Earth for twenty-seven years and when I tell you that I’ve been around certain types of Black people that are just so lowdown, scandalous, and full of bullshit that you would think they were undercover agents for the KKK. There are just some Black people in my community that I just don’t ever want around my presence. Unfortunately, the plague of white supremacy has hit our community so hard that it has turned some of our people into one of the most dangerous types of Black people known to mankind — niggas.

What people have to understand about white supremacy is that white supremacy affects all areas of life that put Black people in an undermining position. One of our master teachers Neely Fuller Jr. was one of the first people in our community that dig deep on the topic of white supremacy and how it affects every area in life.

The system of White Supremacy (Racism) is the most powerful force by and among the people of the known universe that prevents the production of Justice (balance between people) in all areas of (people) activity — Economics, Education, Entertainment, Labor, Law, Politics, Religion, Sex, and War/Counter War. — Neely Fuller Jr. from the book “The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept

Racism is more than just some hillbilly white person calling a Black person a “nigga.” Racism is a system that operates by putting one particular race above all by systematically putting other groups of people in a submissive, lower-level position. One of the areas that our brother Neely Fuller Jr. mentioned was education — that’s where the problem all starts. Black parents willingly send their children to these schools that are owned and operated by the dominant society.

While the teaching profession is still disproportionately white, the percentage of white teachers has been inching down for the past several years, while the percentage of Hispanic teachers has been ticking up. The 2017–18 survey estimates that 79.3 percent of public school teachers are white and 9.3 percent are Hispanic. In 2011–12, nearly 82 percent of public school teachers were white and 7.8 percent were Hispanic. — Madeline Will

To this day, public schools in America are mainly filled with white teachers, who are mostly female. It’s a shame that I have been around Black people around my age that when you give them some type of documentation to read, they freeze up. They can’t read and comprehend the words that are in front of them. I mean it’s ridiculous that you have certain Black people that can’t spell a word that has more than five letters in it. Then you try to communicate with them, they can barely speak the American English language. You don’t believe me? Go listen to today’s rap music; go listen to some of these top rap artists and see you can repeat their lyrics verbatim — just flat out nigga shit. That is what these white public schools intend to produce, niggas. Just a bunch of unintelligent Black people coming out of high school who aren’t taught who they are, don’t know the real history of Black people, are uneducated, and act like buffoons. Then you got the ones who are educated, who go to these big white corporations acting like the biggest coons they can be just to get a promotion or a raise from their white paymaster.

Again, it all starts from education. This is the reason why we have to be the ones educating our children so they don’t end up as ignorant niggas or coons. We have to be the one who installs a prideful, intelligent mindset that is going to lead them into becoming the prominent, strong, intelligent Black people that can move our community forward into the future.
