I Gained 1000 Followers in 6 Months Talking About Racism — White Supremacy

But I wished I didn’t have to talk about white supremacy.

For the record, I actually accomplished this at the end of January.

It’s interesting to me how much people gravitate towards my words on this platform. Especially being that about half of my readers are white.

You would think white people that any articles that are titled with “white supremacy,” “racism,” or “Black” on their feeds would be be interested in seeing what it’s about.

A few white folks have commented on some of my writing and suspected me of being a “racist.” I remember one white dude even called me a “Black supremacist.”

I never replied to the comment at the time. But to the guy that wrote that, and you see this article, let me educate right quick: there is no such thing as “Black supremacy.” Supremacy means to one above all. Just one. How can there be a Black supremacy when Black people are under the system of White supremacy? That would contradictory.

But regardless, I am grateful. I am grateful to everybody that has supported my work in every way. All the views, all the reads, all the likes, all the claps, all the reposts, all the mentions, all the subscriptions — every last bit of support of my work from my readers means a lot to me.

Not just in terms of what it does for me personally and financially, but just the overall message that I genuinely want to put out there into the stratosphere.

We need to have this type of conversation. We need to have these honest conversations about the plight of Black people that many would be uncomfortable with.

I want things to change for the people in my community. For 400 years, Foundational Black Americans have been under the plight of systematic of white supremacy.

We have a unique lineage that no other group of people has gone through on this Earth.

Slavery, Jim Crow, lynchings, rape, segregation, red-lining, mass incarceration — we have been through complete hell and we still battle to this day.

Having knowledge of self can be a gift and a curse. It’s a gift to know about how strong, intelligent, and powerful our people were, but a curse because now everything that goes on around has something to do with systematic white supremacy.

I can’t NOT talk about this. I have to be one of the people that spread awareness and do whatever that I can to bring real change for my people and with your support, I know I’m on the right path to help make that change.

Now here’s the thing, I don’t even like talking about this kind of stuff. I wish I didn’t have to talk about white supremacy, racism, and the destruction in my community that resulted from it.

Do you know how much that affects my mind?

Nowadays, I can’t go through life without thinking about white supremacy because it’s everywhere around me.

Racism is everywhere on this Earth.

I can walk downtown and see all of these big, beautiful buildings, roads, parks, and businesses — none of them are owned by Black people.

That’s racism. That’s white supremacy.

When you read statistics that state that the most incarcerated person in America is the Black man and the least incarcerated person in America is the white woman.

That’s racism. That’s white supremacy.

When you pick up your phone, you go to music streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music and go to the rap genre that’s mostly produced by Black artists. 85% to 90% of the music is filled with death, dusty, and hoodrat ideologies. You never see that type of stuff being promoted to other groups of people.

That’s racism. That is white supremacy.

I can go on and on.

That’s why we need this to end so I can stop thinking about it and talking about it so I can fully focus on things that brighten my day like Anime.

Does anybody out here watch Attack on Titan?

That show is amazing! The new episode comes out today and I can’t wait to see what Eren does now that he’s about to have control of the Founding Titan.

I’m a nerd, y’all.

But yeah, let’s end white supremacy.
