Abstract

iot claims they’re keeping it simple. Here’s the lowdown on what’s changing.

So, first off, Daily Missions are getting a makeover, and saying goodbye to Agent Contracts. Just remember, there’s a cap on how much you can hoard.

Now, here’s the biggie: Agents and their cosmetics are getting some serious tweaks. The Progression System in Valorant Is About to Change

Valorant’s next update will introduce a new progression system to earn in-game rewards.

In my previous stories, I’ve talked about different kinds of shooter games. You can find the links to those stories at the end of this post.

But today, I wanna chat about Valorant and the cool new changes they’re making to how you level up in the game.

What is Valorant?

Valorant is an incredibly popular and addictive online video game that has taken the gaming community by storm. Developed by Riot Games, the same folks behind League of Legends, it’s a first-person shooter (FPS) game that combines elements from classic tactical shooters with unique character abilities and a vibrant, futuristic aesthetic.

Imagine a mix of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and Overwatch, sprinkled with its own magic. In Valorant, two teams, each consisting of five players, face off against each other in fast-paced, intense matches. The game takes place on various maps, each with its own strategic nuances and intricate layouts.

One of the key aspects that set Valorant apart from other FPS games is its diverse cast of characters, known as Agents. Each Agent has their own set of abilities, adding a layer of depth and strategy to the gameplay.

From healing allies and setting up defensive barriers to launching devastating fireballs and teleporting across the map, the abilities of these Agents can turn the tide of battle and make each match feel unique.

Teamwork is crucial in Valorant. Effective communication and coordination with your teammates are essential to achieve victory. Whether you’re defending or attacking, you’ll need to carefully plan your moves, coordinate strategies, and make split-second decisions to outsmart and outgun your opponents.

The gunplay in Valorant is precise and satisfying. Weapons range from pistols and shotguns to sniper rifles and heavy machine guns. Each weapon has its own distinct feel, and mastering their recoil patterns and understanding the best times to buy or save your in-game currency, known as “Creds,” adds an additional layer of strategy to the game.

To win a match in Valorant, a team must either eliminate all the opposing players or complete the objective. The objectives vary depending on the game mode, but the most common one involves planting a bomb (known as the Spike) in a designated location and defending it until it detonates.

The other team must defuse the Spike to prevent the explosion. Matches are intense, often requiring lightning-fast reflexes, precise aim, and quick thinking.

Valorant has gained a massive following, with players from all around the world, professional esports teams, dedicated streamers, and content creators. Its competitive scene is growing rapidly, with tournaments and leagues offering substantial prize pools and a chance to make a name for yourself in the gaming world.

What is this new progression system?

Valorant’s Episode 7 is dropping on June 27th, and there are some sweet changes coming your way when it comes to earning and unlocking in-game rewards. Riot claims they’re keeping it simple. Here’s the lowdown on what’s changing.

So, first off, Daily Missions are getting a makeover, and saying goodbye to Agent Contracts. Wrap up any unfinished Agent Contracts before June 27th. Oh, and there’s a shiny new in-game currency called Kingdom Credits that you can earn and spend by playing games. Just remember, there’s a cap on how much you can hoard.

Now, here’s the biggie: Agents and their cosmetics are getting some serious tweaks. You can now unlock Agents through a 28-day Agent Recruitment pass that happens automatically after each one is released. It still takes roughly the same time to unlock them.

Say hello to Kingdom Credits, the new in-game currency. You’ll earn these babies by playing in any mode, and if you win rounds in round-based modes, you get a little bonus. Best part? They’re absolutely free! They stack up alongside XP for Battlepasses and Agent Recruitment.

You can use them to unlock Agents, their cosmetics, and accessories from past Battlepasses like Gun Buddies, Player Cards, Sprays, and Titles. Just a heads up, though — no gun or knife skins available. The store will have randomized items unique to each player, and they’ll change on a weekly basis.

Remember those old Agent Contracts? Well, now they apply to Agent Gear Tiers. If you’re not unlocking cosmetics with Kingdom Credits, that’s where you’ll find them.

Last but not least, Daily Missions have been totally reworked. They’re now divided into Checkpoints, and you earn progress by playing any game mode. No need to stress about it — just play whatever you feel like, and you’ll automatically make progress. H

Final Words

Here’s the icing on the cake: Daily Missions stack up, and you even get catch-up bonuses.

So, no need to feel punished for not playing every day.

Daily rewards will include XP and the new free currency, Kingdom Credits.
