Relationships and Marriage
The Myth About What Age to Get Married
Why is age a focus?

This will be a quick one today because this is an easy topic.
For years I’ve read stories about
- best age to get married
- women prefer younger men
- women prefer older men
- this specific age is statistically best
- your doctor would say this about the age to marry and what age you should get married
- men prefer more senior women in 2022
- in 2023 this will be the age to get married
And so on and so forth.
Here are reasons that none of that is accurate
- if someone just woke from a coma
- if someone is days away from dying
- if someone is days away from bankruptcy
- if someone is in a celibate study for 10 years
- if someone is not healed from their last relationship
- and the list goes on
There is no right age to get married.
The only question is, “is a person at the right place in their life and psychological health to be in a relationship?”
There are hundreds of thousands of people who go to therapy only to make sure that there is nothing that is a trigger anymore, so they can start afresh.
Just because he or she is 31 does not mean anything. If age is the factor then the fact whether or not they currently do crack is irrelevant.
If someone is ready for a relationship, they
- will know to be patient
- will know it will take a while to get to know the other
- he will know he goes last unless there’s a medical condition that shows she should
- handicap is not a handicap for a relationship
- will know they have to accept the other’s 32 fish
This could be a 20-year-old. I’ve met many solid, like real solid, 20-year-olds and real arrogant and ignorant 30-year-olds and even 50-year-olds.
Find a person who is ready for you. Forget about age, handicap, etc. Who is right for you?
