Bruno motions for everyone to take cover and steps forward, holding up his hands. The orcs spot him and approach, weapons raised.

One steps forward and speaks in broken common speech. “We no fight,” he says, gesturing to the other orcs. “We tired war.”

Bruno lowers his weapon, eyeing the orc warily. “Why should we trust you?”

The orc shrugs. “Want go home.”

You, Dara, and Bruno exchange glances. Then, you take a deep breath and step forward.

“Can you help us find somewhere safe?” you ask.

The orc leader nods. “Know place. Safe.”

You hesitate.
