The First GTA 6 Trailer Is Finally Here

Here are a few things you might have missed.

In my past stories, I’ve covered different GTA stuff, and you can find those links at the end here. But today, let’s dive into the new GTA 6 trailer and catch some details you might’ve missed.

Rockstar’s been dealing with leaks about GTA 6 forever, big and small ones. But guess what? They decided to drop the full trailer early because it somehow leaked online.

So, here it is, the complete GTA 6 trailer in all its glory! And let me tell you, it’s a whole different ball game compared to the GTA 5 trailer. This one’s massive, showing off a crazy scope, and the tech behind the characters is mind-blowing.

In the trailer, we meet Lucia, starting off in prison. She’s about to kick off what looks like a Bonnie and Clyde-style story with Jason, the other protagonist who’s been leaked for ages.

But hold up, even though we’ve been hearing about these two characters, if you didn’t know there were two protagonists in GTA 6, you’d think Lucia’s flying solo from this trailer. Are there really two, though?

Yeah, it’s officially GTA 6. No more beating around the bush — they finally said it out loud in the trailer.

After re-watching the trailer a bunch of times and seeing countless videos about the trailer, I think I’ve found a few things many people might have missed.

In this 90-second trailer, we’re catching a bunch of place names popping up on road signs and news bits. Some leaks hinted at “Leonida” being the possible GTA 6 state, and now we’re seeing confirmations: news stories about a ‘Leonida man’ doing wild stuff like the ‘Florida Man,’ and a post talking about how only in Leonida is a crotch grab an apology for bad driving.

Signs also point to Kelly County, Catalan Boulevard, VCI airport, Vice Beaches, Port VC/Keys, Stockyard, and Downtown as potential spots. And hey, there’s a bit of nostalgia with revamped versions of Starfish Island and Ocean Beach from the OG Vice City.

Now, if GTA 6 is gonna be anything like GTA 5 (which duh, it probably will), there’s gonna be more to do than just crime. This trailer teases a bunch: hopping in different rides (hover boat, anyone?), car meet-ups, hitting strip clubs, partying, drag meets, and joining the Thrillbilly Mud Club for some seriously dirty fun. These are just glimpses, though, so no guarantee they’ll all be in the game.

Check this out: early shots show this huge radio tower in the sunset backdrop. Could mean base jumping’s making a comeback! Remember that from GTA 5 and The Ballad of Gay Tony? Fingers crossed!

Wildlife lovers, listen up. If GTA 6’s mimicking Florida, we might get Red Dead Redemption 2-level animals. We’ve spotted dogs, flamingos, gators, dolphins, and even sharks! And if the Everglades show up, we’re talking panthers, bears, turtles, manatees — the whole shebang. Variety galore!

Tech’s playing a bigger role in GTA 6, no surprise there. While GTA 5 nailed the vibe of 2013 with Lifeinvader and Bleeter, this one’s bringing TikTok vibes. Viral videos are all over the trailer, with NPCs reacting to being filmed. How much we can film ourselves in-game is still a mystery, but it’s definitely modern-day Vice City.

Oh, and get ready for the Karen archetype. Yep, the trailer features a lady wielding hammers, giving off major Karen vibes. Looks like GTA 6 is diving into that aspect of modern culture.

Factions, anyone? There’s the Thrillbilly Mud Club, all about dirt truck mud racing, and the High Rollerz Lifestyle, a group into high-end street racing. And then there’s this gang of cycle and ATV riders tearing up the road, plus news about a dirt bike gang causing chaos. Things are heating up!

Final Words

Vice City’s making a comeback, but this ain’t Tommy Vercetti’s time anymore. Based on the wheels rolling around, it seems like we’re in the present day. And boy, does this trailer show some serious “Florida vibes.”

Think GTA craziness mixing in with the whole quirky essence of the place. You’ll see everything from yacht bashes with models to gators crashing convenience stores, and let’s just say there’s more twerking in this 90-second trailer than I ever expected from GTA 6.
