The Fallacy of False Expectation and the Power of Faith in Manifesting Our Dreams
The value of aligning with universal vibration by balancing imagination, intellect, intuition, intention, action, and courage

Have you ever wished for something really hard, deeply to be disappointed when it didn’t happen? If so, you’re not alone. Many people fall victim to the fallacy of false expectations, which is believing that if we want something badly enough, it will magically come true.
The fallacy of false expectation can be harmful because it can give us false hopes and prevent us from taking action. When we solely imagine and expect things to happen without putting in any effort and creating new neural pathways, we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment.
But there is a better way.
It is the power of faith in manifesting. It means believing in our ability with a conscious effort using the vast ocean of the subconscious mind to make our dreams come true.
Faith is not about wishful thinking but about having confidence and determination that, with effort and persistence, we can achieve our goals.
When we use the power of faith, we’re empowered to make a concerted effort and take action, which is the secret to success.
This mindset allows us to set clear goals, make necessary adjustments, and stay committed. We don’t give up when things get tough. We know that if we keep going despite hurdles, eventually, we will achieve our dreams.
The fallacy of false expectation is when we hope something will happen just because we want it to, without any evidence and without putting in any effort. This fallacy can lead to disappointment and unfulfilled dreams as we miss out on the most essential ingredients to successful manifestation.
On the other hand, the power of faith in manifesting is about believing in ourselves with intention, focus, action, and determination to make dreams come true.
Rather than false expectations, I choose the power of faith because it boosts my confidence, motivation, and stability, helping me stay focused on my goals.
Embracing the power of faith allows us to take action and become active participants in shaping our destinies by setting clear goals, putting in the necessary time and effort, and staying committed with passion, courage, and realistic optimism.
The purpose of this short essay is to give you helpful and practical perspectives on how to align with universal vibration by using our body, mind, spirit, imagination, intellect, intuition, intention, courage, and action persistently.
“Dreams can become a reality when we possess a vision, a plan, and the courage to chase it relentlessly.” — Walt Disney
Why do some people achieve more with less time and effort?
I assume you wondered why some people seem to achieve so much with seemingly less effort. Have you ever wanted something so badly that you could imagine it coming true?
This is a rhetorical question, as I believe everyone has dreams and wants to achieve them. I ask this question to make my point in this critical section.
Some people achieve more with seemingly less effort, not because they possess superior intelligence or talents.
Instead, they understand how to harness the power of their RAS (the Reticular Activating System), which acts as a gatekeeper in our brains and minds, filtering the enormous information we absorb.
The RAS is like a spotlight, illuminating what’s important while dimming the irrelevant. When we focus on a goal, our RAS sharpens its focus on information relevant to that objective.
For instance, when searching for a green car, suddenly, many green cars appear everywhere, coming to our conscious mind. This phenomenon occurs because our RAS filters out unrelated data and lets in what matters most based on our intention.
When we’re focused on something specific, the RAS becomes more sensitive to information related to that thing. RAS filters out unnecessary information for our purpose and only lets in the information we intend to use.
People who achieve more with less effort know how to use their RAS to their advantage. They focus on what’s important and ignore the rest. This allows us to save physical and mental energy, enabling us to focus on what will help us achieve our goals.
RAS uses the Law of Attraction in its true sense. It means that we attract what we deeply think and intensely feel about that can affect our behaviours.
So, if we focus on our dreams with imagination, intention, intellect, intuition, and boldness, raising our physical and mental vibrations, we’re more likely to tune into universal energy to realize our dreams.
But there’s a catch for achieving this delicate and subtle balance. We need to train our brains to create new neural pathways. This is where the RAS comes in handy.
So, how can we use the RAS to make our dreams come true?
It is a complex and comprehensive subject, but it can be summarized in four steps in simple terms.
First, we need to be clear about what we want. The more specific we are, the easier it will be for our RAS to focus on it.
Second, we need to visualize our dreams as if they’ve already happened using multiple senses and sensations. This helps to train our brains to believe that our dreams are possible and create necessary neural pathways.
Third, we need to be faithful and optimistic. When we focus on the positive, the RAS is more likely to filter out negative and unnecessary information that can block the vibration needed to achieve our dreams.
In addition, we need to be diligent, patient, and persistent. It takes time and effort to train our brains to create new neural pathways to achieve our dreams.
RAS can also accelerate our learning and dissemination of information. So, with faith, intention, tacit knowledge, and a new mindset, we can eventually make our dreams come true.
Key Takeaways for Manifesting Our Dreams
Before ending my essay, I’d like to distill some crucial steps and practical tips that have been instrumental in my journey toward achieving my dreams with greater ease.
Step 1: Crystal Clear Objectives
Specificity is your ally. Clarity of your goals is critical for success. Clearly define your goals, making them as precise as possible. Write them down and keep them visible for regular reinforcement. Clearly define your objectives to enhance focus. The more specific you are, the better.
Step 2: Priority Power
We know that not all tasks are equal. So, prioritize tasks based on the importance, impact, and urgency aligning with your vision, mission, strategy, tactics, goals, and objectives. Focus on the crucial ones. Don’t hesitate to say no to less important commitments.
Step 3: Distraction Detox and Management
Distractions are hurdles to success. Eliminate distractions by disconnecting from your phone, staying away from social media, and finding a quiet workspace to work in a flow state. You need to schedule time for breaks, downtime, rest, and fun to maintain physical and mental well-being.
Step 4: Work-Life Balance
Physical and cognitive overload harms health, creativity, and productivity as it can cause oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, and anxiety. Avoid overworking yourself and stay away from perfection. Manage stress to maintain focus and prevent chronic stress, burnout, and nervous breakdown. Strive for a balance between work and personal life.
Step 5: Vivid Visualization with Optimism and Faith
Visualize your dreams as if they’ve already been realized. The brain sees imagination and reality the same for coding memories. Envision yourself taking action and conquering obstacles, cultivating positive emotions and determined faith in your dreams. You may also use other senses like touch, smell, sound, and taste to strengthen your mental images. So, feel the positive emotions intensely to experience when you achieve your goals.
Step 6: Proactive and Action-Oriented Progress
Don’t merely expect and wait for success to come to you without effort. Take proactive and action-oriented steps and remain consistent and persistent by working in a flow state with mindfulness and meditation. Create meaningful relationships, collaborate, and seek timely support. Remember that achieving your goals will require time and effort, so don’t give up quickly.
Step 7: Adapt and Persist for Resilience and Sustainability
Flexibility, agility, and adaptability are critical for resilience and sustainability. Things don’t always go according to plan, and there will always be setbacks in life. So, be open to learning, gaining feedback, staying open to negative criticism to increase your adversity quotient, and adjusting your approach when necessary while staying true to your dreams.
All of these steps involve embracing calculated risks for growth. To achieve our dreams, we must be willing to venture beyond our comfort zones and pursue them with unwavering courage.
Concluding Remarks
The journey to manifesting our dreams is a long and winding road. But with clarity, prioritization, focus, and unwavering determination, we can make it happen. Sometimes, we have to unlearn and relearn to keep ourselves updated.
The journey to manifesting our dreams will not be easy. There will always be setbacks and challenges along the way. But if we keep going, we will eventually achieve our goals.
Along the way, be sure to celebrate your successes, no matter how small. This will help you stay motivated and keep moving forward.
As you achieve your goals, be sure to help others who are on their own journey. This will not only make us feel good, but it will also help us create a ripple effect of positive change in the collective consciousness.
