The Display on the Next Pixel Phone Could Have a Huge Upgrade
The brightness level will have a 50% increase compared to the Pixel 7.

In some of my past posts, I’ve chatted about all sorts of neat smartphone stuff. You can find those links at the end of this article.
But today, I’m gonna talk about this awesome new feature that might just show up in the next Google Pixel 8 Pro.
Get ready to mark your calendars because, in just a few more days, Google is dropping the curtain on their much-anticipated Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. These bad boys are gearing up to go head-to-head for the title of the ultimate Android phone. But you know what the hottest gossip on the block is? It’s all about that stunning screen!
According to some juicy leaked specs, Google is going all out on the display front for their latest entries in the Pixel series. And we’re not talking about some small, barely noticeable upgrade here.
The Pixel 7 Pro already had a respectable peak brightness of around 1600 nits, which is not too shabby. But guess what? The Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to be cranking it up to a jaw-dropping 2400 nits. That’s a whopping 50% increase compared to the Pixel 7 Pro!
Now, if you thought the entry-level Pixel was going to be left out in the brightness party, think again. The Pixel 7 sported a max brightness of 1400 nits, but the rumor mill suggests that the Pixel 8 is poised to hit a staggering 2000 nits. Yep, you read that right — a massive leap that’s going to make your eyeballs dance with joy!
But here’s the twist in the tale: for those of you who have strong feelings about curved displays, brace yourselves. The Pixel 8 Pro is apparently ditching the curves and going for a flat-screen this time around. Now, I know curved displays can be a bit like Marmite — not everyone’s cup of tea. So, this change might be a bit divisive, but hey, it’s all about personal preference, right?
Now, I hear you asking, “All this extra brightness is great, but what’s it gonna do to my battery life?” Well, Google’s got your back on that front too. Both Pixel models are expected to come with a battery boost, so you can enjoy those vibrant, bright displays without constantly hunting for an outlet.
And let’s not forget about the new Tensor G3 chipset — it’s likely to bring some efficiency improvements, helping to balance out the power-hungry screens.
But hold on to your seats, because the upgrades don’t stop at the screen and battery. The Pixel 8 range is packing some hidden gems that might just blow your mind.
One of the whispers going around town is about an audio “magic eraser” that could make background noise disappear like it was never there. Now, if that doesn’t get your tech-savvy heart racing, I don’t know what will!
Final Words
All in all, the Pixel 8 lineup is shaping up to be a serious upgrade from last year’s models.
With brighter displays, a potential battery boost, and those unique Google Android features, there’s a lot to be excited about.
So, buckle up, folks, because the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are about to drop, and they’re ready to take the Android world by storm!
