The Daily Walkabout Collection #36
150-word stories about plants and food traditions shared at The Daily Cuppa from August 20th thru September 12th, 2022.
This issue has been delayed as we made decisions about going forward given busy schedules and current platform distribution issues.
This will be our last regular collection focused on daily featured The Daily Cuppa Walkabout writers for the fall and winter seasons.
The current platform issues necessitate my publishing collections from more writers on a regular basis.
Without knowing which of those writers we follow have published each day like we used to, it becomes our responsibility to figure it out. I want to share exceptional articles I find and make recommendations.
I also want to be fair to all the wonderful Cuppa writers by giving more of their stories a second chance.

Did you know there was a lemon tea tree? Of course, I’ve been out of my bacopa (see story two) so maybe I just don't remember. Love that it’s another option for mosquitoes — the lemon tea tree.
Apricot Satinash, Rain Cherry, Small Red Bush Apple, Fibrous Satinash — it’s all the same bush…
A tiny annual with a rich medicinal history.

Thursday:
Julie Gaeta combines her expertise as a Health Coach and traditional Mexican cuisine chef with a healthy twist to share recipes for smoothies, teas, and much more.
I’m amazed Julie Gaeta found some ways to use citrus that are new to me! I thought I was the best — really. Regarding pantry organization…well, she's amazing there too. This busy mom of nine has begun two new careers. She plans on continuing to submit her masterpieces in between jobs.

Final Thoughts
We remain committed to the concept of sharing stories about herbs, plants, recipes, and traditions from around our world.
We’d love to have you join us.
Do you have stories from your family or cultural traditions? Do you grow food or forage? Do you have a special vegetable you like to grow?
My bias is that home cooking is better for our health than eating packaged food, so whatever food system you follow, we rejoice in stories about what you’re cooking.
What inspires you to grow your food, forage, and cook?
Come along with us on our Walkabout.
Continue to submit your recipes, herb, gardening, and plant lore for our gathering of all stories tagged ‘Walkabout.’ Link your long-form stories tagged ‘Walkabout’ for our collection which will now be random through fall and winter.

Nutrient-dense whole food from plants — from grapefruit, asparagus, spinach, turmeric to blueberries — can be a problem if you’re eating processed foods and taking prescription medications. It may take your body a while to get used to any diet changes. Always consult with your physician or a qualified health care provider before making any lifestyle or dietary changes.
