The Buzz On Bee
Being the best mom, wife, friend, woman, and writer she can bee

I sat in my chair staring at a blank screen for a half an hour. Writing this bio was very daunting as I have never been stellar at talking about myself. After realizing I would never get a single word on this page if I have to use the word “I” consistently, I decided to write about myself as if I am not myself.
It helped. Thank goodness because posting this huge picture of myself was nerve-wracking enough. I sincerely hope you may understand how hard this was for me. I hope to write a bio from the first-person narrative one day. I think writing this has already helped me grow.
Melissa is a writer of fiction, poetry, personal essays, and humor and enjoys using her imagination. She thinks about writing so much that she has trouble sleeping sometimes because ideas are always floating around in her mind.
Before embarking on her writing journey, she worked as a General Manager for a well-known retail store. She left retail when it was clear the company’s values didn’t line up with hers as they adopted a people last culture.
She enrolled in college this past spring to complete her bachelor’s degree she didn’t finish thirteen years ago. Although she is studying Human Development and Family Studies, she has had to put school on hold for now. She is giving her writing dreams a solid chance before she finishes her degree.
Currently, she is working hard to establish herself as a writer, build her blogging website, collaborate with other writers, write a book, and spread positivity.
She loves to support other writers in any way she can. Relating to other’s through empathy is her strength.
Melissa is a very appreciative person and is vocal about her gratitude. She is an intense person in all aspects of her life. She cares, loves, plays, and works with all her might.
Melissa has a great sense of humor and knows how to enjoy the little things in life. A warm cup of tea, hugs, the ocean, bonfires, writing, reading, and loving others makes her happy.
She loves to read and engage with other writers. Melissa is an avid learner and enjoys gaining knowledge from a wide array of resources. These resources include books and the internet, but her favorite resource to learn from is people.
She strives to be the best mom, wife, friend, woman, and writer she can be.
Family
Melissa is highly dedicated to her family. She engages with, teaches and learns from them. She is their mentor. Every night she sings and prays with each of them. They are her first priority and give her immeasurable happiness.
She believes that children should be free to be themselves in their unique individuality. Her primary role as a mother is to guide her children as they make mistakes and be their first line of support.
She loves to get creative with her three children, Bella (7), Kaylee (4), and Lincoln (3). They take on art and writing projects in messy joy. Listening to music is a favorite family activity. It’s not unusual to see them through the windows dancing without a care in the world and the volume so high the birds come by.
She has been married to her husband Chris for ten years. While they have ups and downs as any couple, they believe in overcoming relationship obstacles. They support each other and try very hard to model what an exemplary marriage looks like to their children. Both her and her husband are from New York and raised only by their mothers —
So, they have no experience on what a good marriage looks like except for what they’ve seen on television shows.
However, Melissa uses her intuition, spirituality, knowledge of the values from family television shows from the 90’s and attention to detail in everything to guide her and her family. She prays for the world everynight.
They also have a puggle (pug and beagle mix) pup named Remy.
She’s a mom you can see on the trampoline, in the pool, jumping in a muddy puddle, sliding, swinging, playing doctor, freeze tag, coloring, singing, and sharing laughs and making memories with her children. She values the time she has with them now because she knows time goes fast and one day, they’ll be all grown-up.
She always tells them how much she loves them and to slow down growing up. She fights to keep the sad thought out of her head — one day they’ll move out and live on their own.
Melissa truly values every single relationship she has and never takes it for granted. She knows that we all have limited time here on this earth and dedicates her life to being there for those around her and sending uplifting vibes into the world.

Values
She is passionate about helping others and feels great joy in seeing others succeed. Melissa is a determined self-starter and never gives up until she succeeds. She is wildly intuitive and connected with nature. Her empathy and kindness is noteworthy.

She loves making others smile and believe in themselves. Melissa likes to make others feel good through her writing and interactions. She believes in the power of hard work and perserverance.
While she is fierce, she is also a mushy, and sensitive soul.
She believes in God, is full of hope, and loves the gift of life.
