One Word
Feel and uncover the mystery

What’s that thing? You know, the one with a ring, the one that — makes you sing, the one that, gives rise to butterflies, puts twinkles in your eyes — a kissed surprise.
What’s that thing? The one that makes a wife — a blissful worthy life, the one that has courage — to light a blessed occurrence, the one that’s comfortable to sit in silence — offer guidance, isn’t a bit selfish.
What is that word? Here, yet unheard — in this poem, not a painted blur, goodness in you — stirred, ties you up, like laces of a shoe, say the word — please, no more clues.
Come closer to my lips, get into my tight grips, are you ready for this — beautiful eclipse?
Please forgive me — I can’t reveal, if you’re okay with that, the word — it’s real, it can be read — more powerful to feel.
Whoever you are, know you aren’t very far, take this shove, and slam into —
love.
Note: I recited this to my husband and children, and it left me in tears. I encourage you to read to someone you love and share your reactions with us.
