DRABBLE STORY ARC #1: UNTIL LUCK RUNS OUT
The Ancient Artefacts Vanish Before Your Eyes
A chapter of a ‘choose your own’ story — Drabble edition!

This is a continuation of You Are Dead, a Choose Your Own Adventure Story — Drabble Edition started by Bradan Writes Stories. You can return to the previous chapter: “Is this Reality?” by P. L. Goaway.
This is also a response to the Hodgepodge Challenge #5 by Sweet Chaos — find out more below!
You enter a snowy side-street. A lizardman is furtively moving golden objects. He looks up guiltily as you approach, “Sup?”
“A lot,” you reply. “I feel ill, and keep getting killed.”
“Sucks,” says lizardman, and continues to hide what look like a set of ancient artefacts in a bucket.
Daggers?
Stolen?
Further on in the road, a line of star-shaped Christmas cookies crash to the ground.
“That stuff in the pail — is it for sale?” you ask.
“Sorry,” he says.
You scowl. “I’m afraid! I need a blade.”
The lizardman points. “Head east past the anthills, towards Yulia the blacksmith.”
Do you…
- Go directly to where the lizardman pointed.
- Hurry through the anthills and try to leave town.
- Snoop around at your own pace.
