Thank You, Mr. President

United States President Joe Biden signed a law to avert a critical, imminent government shutdown. The stopgap bill will now fund government agencies through November 17, 2023, as a government shutdown continues to loom at that time.
The US House of Representatives, currently headed by Senator McCarthy, continues to show its imbalance in structure. The House changed course last evening and signed a measure to pass a bipartisan bill which moved quickly to the Senate. Days of stress and uncertainty within the chaos of the Republican Party have been set on hold.
President Biden’s quick response, “Tonight, bipartisan majorities in the House and Senate voted to keep the government open, preventing an unnecessary crisis that would have inflicted needless pain on millions of hardworking Americans.” Referring to the House of Republicans hold up he said, “We should never have been in this position in the first place.”
To clarify this new measure includes government funding, and natural disaster aid but not border security or Ukrainian aid. The Federal Aviation Administration will remain open.
Upheavals and critical debates, reeled with anger through the House of Representatives of our government this week as House Speaker McCarthy failed in an effort (within his own party) to pass a stopgap bill in the chamber. The decision for the House Speaker to place a bill on the floor that would bring accolades from Democrats may place his “Speaker of The House” title in peril. A few conservative holdouts have been admonishing his stance and threatened to oust him from his speaker role. McCarthy’s current argument to his conservative hardliners is that he did what he needed to do to avoid a government shutdown. “If somebody wants to make a motion against me, bring it,” McCarthy told CNN’s Manu Raju at a press conference. “There has to be an adult in the room. I am going to govern with what’s best for this country.”
As our leaders continue to debate the financial structure of our nation, Americans wait with angst a a government shutdown of funding within the United States would have grave consequences.
