The article explores the concept of synchronicity, the meaningful coincidence of events without a causal relationship, and its implications on our understanding of reality, suggesting that these occurrences may be messages from a higher power or a deeper psychological alignment.
Abstract
The article delves into the phenomenon of synchronicity, as defined by Carl Jung, where events occur in a meaningful way without any discernible causal connection. It discusses the idea that our perception of reality may be influenced by an invisible realm that many choose to ignore. The author reflects on personal experiences and questions about the significance of coincidences, proposing that valuing these moments can inspire serendipity and that they may hold deeper meaning for the individual. The text also touches on the concept of "zemblanity," the occurrence of unfortunate events, as a counterpoint to serendipity. Throughout, the author encourages readers to consider the metaphysical aspects of life, such as psychic abilities and connections with passed souls, as real and impactful, despite their lack of scientific validation. The article concludes by provoking thought on the nature of reality and truth, acknowledging that while science is valuable, it is not infallible, and there is much about the universe that remains unknown and subject to personal interpretation.
Opinions
The author believes that synchronicity represents a deeper, psychological alignment with an unexplained higher power and that these coincidences are meaningful.
Synchronicity is seen as more than just random occurrences; it is considered a metaphysical element of life that can provide guidance or warnings.
Serendipity is viewed as a lighter side of synchronicity, involving the discovery of good things without looking for them, and is a recurring theme in the author's life.

As Above, So Below
“In pursuit of something deeper than happiness…”
Journal quote from 2/2/22
“Synchronicity means the simultaneous occurrence of psychic state with one or more external events, which appear as meaningful parallels to the momentary subjective state.”
If we are noticing coincidental alignments,
is this a sign that something good is coming?
What if they’re warnings?
Both can be true.
How can we learn to interpret these messages
from the invisible realm?
Carl Jung believed these coincidences were meaningful.
I believe that when we value these so-called coincidences,
we inspire serendipity.
If it means something to you, it’s more than a coincidence.
According to Google,
Synchronicity is: the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.
In psychology, synchronicity is defined as the occurrence of meaningful coincidences that seem to have no cause.
Synchronicity is more than a rehearsed dance routine
or planes moving in the same pattern at the same time.
It is a metaphysical element of life; a deeper, psychological alignment with an unexplained higher power.
Are you in touch with your sixth sense?
Serendipity:
“An aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident;”
finding good things without looking for them.
This is one of a few words I take with me through life as a recurring theme, and in the form of a tattoo.
I also have “tu joues avec le feu” (you’re playing with fire)
permanently written on my arm, so interpret that as you will…
I believe serendipity relates to the lighter side of synchronicity.
When I see butterflies or cardinals, especially those that seem to linger,
I like to think of them as greetings from heavenly beings.
Perhaps they send these delightful creatures our way,
hoping we’ll take the time to notice.
I also appreciate more significant instances of serendipity, like finding a beautiful apartment that happens to be available exactly when I need to move, or finding the most loyal companion I’ve ever met at an animal shelter on 1/23/23 — a day that seemed like the perfect opportunity for a
new beginning.
Recently, I was cleaning at home with a podcast on in the background.
I randomly told my dog, “I love youuu,” as one does, and at the EXACT same time, the podcast host said, “I love you.”
So we’re married now.
This may have been a random coincidence, but I thought it was a very
strange occurrence. I was listening to a comedy podcast— the hosts aren’t necessarily saying “I love you” frequently, and for the timing to be that exact felt like a real synchronized Matrix moment.
“The only acceptable point of view appears to be the one that recognizes both sides of reality: a quantitative and qualitative, the physical and the psychical as compatible with each other.
It would be most satisfactory of all if physics and psyche, (i.e. mind and matter) could be seen as complementary aspects of the same reality.”

Oh, my dear Shadow?
Is that you, warning me to watch my surroundings?
“As Above, So Below,” she implies without words.
As serendipity exists in a higher frequency,
the opposite persists in the dark realms of the unconscious.
I recently learned that there is a word for these unlucky occurrences.
“Zemblanity” is the inexorability of unfortunate discoveries;
the opposite of serendipity.
These messages are more like warnings as opposed to affirmations.
They remind us to ask ourselves:
What are you working towards?
If you are manifesting peace, you may be presented with chaotic situations. Your inner peace will be tested until you accept the presence of disorder.
If you are asking for patience, you will be presented with situations that require you to be patient. This is a test.
Will you respond accordingly?
I believe we encounter challenges that teach us valuable lessons,
as well as affirmations that we are exactly where we’re supposed to be.
The facts of physics were true before we discovered or defined them.
Math and science, time and money are all relevant in our reality whether we enjoy dealing with them or not.
The same is true about the undefined metaphysical aspects of life.
Synchronicity, serendipity, contact with passed souls, and psychic abilities are very real. The fact that they’re not scientific truths does not make them irrelevant.
We used to believe the Earth was flat — according to science!
Some still do…
Scientists are just humans. They’re not always right.
