Sunday Silence
Day 88: Silence can show you more than words sometimes

Today as I come ever closer to the end of my 100-day spiritual journey, I am enjoying the silence on this Sunday morning. The only sound I hear right now is the light rail train whooshing by outside. As I type here at the dining room table, I feel blessed by this silence all around me. Today I share a poem on the beauty of silence along the path to learning about yourself.
Silent contemplation at the table with a coffee cup, Wooshing sounds heard outside, The air silently flowing past, The silence is our guide.
Silent musings of what to do today, Leaves on the trees flutter in the wind, A squirrel runs across the landscape, The silence is our companion.
Silent thoughts stirring in my mind, Apples still hanging on the tree outside, Traffic sounds rush past, The silence is our friend.
Silent emotions coming to the surface, Birds singing softly, The roses are finished blooming for the season, The silence is our teacher.
My prayer and my intention for you today is to enjoy some silence and some rest today. Find some moments of contemplation so that you can give your mind a break. Find some peaceful time to yourself if you can, and know all is well. Silence is your teacher, friend and companion.
How can you find a moment of silence today?
