Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice
Day 86: Taking joy in every moment you have

Fall is upon us, and visions of pumpkin spice are in the air. Last night I sat comfortably and peacefully on the sofa. I delighted in reading through a magazine full of pumpkin recipes. The recipes ranged from pumpkin bread and soup to spinach salad with cranberries and pumpkin. I imagined enjoying all of these delights. Life is all about infinite possibilities. On my 100-day spiritual journey, these final days are all about surrendering to the present moment and loving what is. I am glad that the book Letting Go by David R. Hawkins is my companion on the path.
I have decided to start each morning letting go. I have found a ten-minute surrender meditation that helps me to release negativity at the beginning of each day. It is a peaceful and powerful way for me to start the day. This morning I could sense the negative energy leaving my spirit. I am grateful for each moment I have.
The goal of letting go is the elimination of the very source of all suffering and pain. This sounds radical and startling and, in fact, it is! Ultimately, all negative feelings stem from the same source. When enough negative feelings have been relinquished, the source reveals itself. When that source itself is let go of and disidentified with, the ego dissolves. The source of suffering, therefore, loses the very basis of its power. -David R. Hawkins

These days I am feeling at peace. I believe that there are infinite possibilities in life to discover when we choose to release the negative emotions that are holding us back. The process of acknowledging them and then releasing them brings more love into our hearts. In turn, that love radiates out from us into the universe and brings those gifts to light to everyone around us.
It is so interesting that a short while ago, I felt I had to be in control of everything. Although I thought I was moving forward, I was still hanging on to so much negativity. I did not fully trust. Today, I feel a deeper faith. The sensation that I am on the right path, going at the right speed, and taking the correct actions runs straight to my soul.
My prayer and my intention for you is that you fully feel the possibility of this moment. Know that you are on the right path. Have faith that you are taking the right actions. You are where you are supposed to be.
What is the possibility of this moment for you?
Here is the short surrender meditation that I listen to each morning. It is very soothing and calming.
