Summary

The website content is a call to action for writers to submit Thanksgiving and Christmas stories to the Marker website, which is actively seeking seasonal content to publish and pay for.

Abstract

The Marker website is urgently seeking story submissions related to Thanksgiving and Christmas themes. With the holidays just around the corner, the site is looking to acquire content that embodies holiday cheer. Writers who have been following updates from the author about the Marker platform are encouraged to check out the five previously published stories by the author for insights on how to get paid for their writing. The author emphasizes the timely nature of this opportunity, as Marker typically does not seek stories with a limited shelf life. However, due to the upcoming holidays, there is a demand for such content. The website has seen a rise in competition among contributors, but there is still room for more writers. The author, who also runs the Let's Get Paid publication and the Paid2WorkAtHome.com website, aims to provide information on online earning opportunities. While the author cannot provide specific earning figures from Marker, they encourage writers to explore the site for themselves and consider the potential for earning money by selling their stories during the holiday season.

Opinions

  • The author believes that the current demand for holiday-themed stories on Marker presents a great opportunity for writers, especially for those who enjoy writing about trending topics.
  • There is an implied opinion that Marker is a legitimate platform for writers to earn money, given the high number of contributors and the quality of articles submitted.
  • The author suggests that writers should not be deterred by past criteria, as Marker's current need for seasonal stories is an exception to their usual preference for non-time-sensitive content.
  • The author maintains that while they are focused on other projects, they see value in sharing this information with the writing community and encourages due diligence and personal research before committing to the platform.
  • The author's goal is to inform about potential online work opportunities, emphasizing that each individual's success will depend on their own efforts and focus.

In case any writers on Medium has taken the time to read my stories about the “Marker” website, then you may have already received the same email notification that I received recently.

It seems that Marker is urgently in need of Thanksgiving and Christmas stories for the clients who frequent their website.

For those readers who aren’t up to speed about this latest website resource, feel free to check out the 5 stories I’ve already shared about the site, and how you can get paid for your stories [They’re at the bottom of the page].

But for now, check out what they’re looking for right now as we speak.

Your Thanksgiving stories are needed now

As of this writing (November 5th), Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away, which means that Christmas and all the other seasonal celebrations have already begun to start kicking in.

Perhaps that’s why I opened my email last night and discovered the following notice from them:

As you can see, this website is serious about their search for seasonal stories that ring of holiday cheer.

From what I can tell, now is the time to check them out if you haven’t already done so, especially if you have stories related to any of the upcoming holidays.

Honestly, this is great news for those writers who like to write about whatever is trending.

Normally, Marker doesn’t want stories that have a shelf life, as I brought out in one of my past stories.

So if there has been a barrier preventing writers from looking into this website, you may want to reconsider trying to sell your stories here.

Based on what I’ve read, the competition on the website is starting to mount, even though they have room for more writers.

According to that same email:

“…there are now almost 35,000 Marker Contributors, and the quality of articles pouring in daily continues to amaze us.”

Final Thoughts

When I created this Let’s Get Paid publication, I had the same goal for it that I have for my new websites that I’m currently working on.

PROVIDING USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT GETTING PAID TO WORK ONLINE.

I share news about the sites and resources I come across, usually, just as soon as I hear about them. I do that, because sometimes the information is timely. But whether that’s the case or not, I like to share things in a timely way.

That means: It’s up to each reader to do their own due diligence, and read more, learn more, and determine if a website or resource is for you.

In the past few weeks, my own concentration has been focused on my Paid2WorkAtHome.com website that I just launched for the coming year. Along the way, I got the idea to create a series of micro sites, all with a similar paid to work from home theme.

I’ll be sharing more about the sites in the future, but my point is this: Although I’m sharing the story about Marker, I can’t provide you with any details other than what I’ve already shared.

While I believe the earning potential is there, for anyone who wants to take the time and effort to give it a go; I don’t have any earning figures to offer you.

My goal is to help you be informed about the possibilities and opportunities that potentially exist, but it all comes down to what each of us are capable and agreeable to doing, and where we focus our attention.

Mine happens to be somewhere else at the time. But if you’re interested in trying to get paid for selling your stories, either now around the holidays, or in the future, do yourself a favor and check the site out.
