Another Online Earning Resource
Do You Have Stories in These Top Selling Subjects that Can Earn You Additional Money?
Latest Update to selling your previously published stories

Have you been following along with my most recent news about earning money from a newly discovered website?
This site is new to me, and thus far, I haven’t seen other Medium writers talking or raving about the site.
Why that is, I’m not sure, but as far as I can tell, the opportunity for writers to sell our previously published stories on the “Marker Content” website is one worth mentioning.
Ever since I recently stumbled onto the website, I’ve been sharing all the details that I learn along the way.
So far, I’ve provided the basics about the site and what is required to join, as well as what happens once you join. You can read about it in the following stories:
Preparing to upload stories for sale
As I’ve mentioned in a previous update, my intention is to take things slow and only upload 15 to 20 stories (at least for now).
I’ve read all the details about what “Buyers” are allowed to do with the stories they purchase, and I’m okay with the policies, especially since each story you submit has the ability to be purchased more than once.
NOTE: Lots of new writers, and even not so new writers, are extremely attached to everything they write, and may not be willing to agree to the terms of the website.
Others (like myself), have stopped believing you can actually protect every single word you write online and keep it from being borrowed, copied or stolen in some way. As a result, I have no problem with website owners purchasing my previously published ideas, and using the content for their own needs, but that’s just me.
I suggest reading the guidelines from both the Buyer’s perspective, and the Contributor’s perspective, then make an informed decision.
Personally, I’ll only be uploading a few stories, I plan to be strategic in how I tweak them and tailor them for the new website. SEE IMPORTANT UPDATE BELOW.
Thankfully, the site has provided some helpful guidelines
These top selling subjects can earn you additional money
For those of you who may be wondering what kind of stories will sell good on this new resource site, don’t worry, because the following list will give you an idea about what to submit.
I took the words straight from the horse’s mouth (or rather right off the website’s fact page).
According to the site, this is the order that their “Top-selling subject matters” were listed in:
- Health and fitness
- Beauty and skincare
- Lifestyle
- Food and drinks
- Business
- Entertainment
- Family
- Fashion
- Travels
They even go so far as to provide a checklist for you to follow, once you’re ready to upload your writing. They encourage you like this:
“It’s simple, just follow the below ticklist when proofreading your article, then upload and we’ll take care of the rest!”
In a coming story, I’ll probably share the tips they offer, but in the meantime, I suggest reading the points for yourself, if you decide to give the site a try.
Submit your best evergreen stories and see if they continue to grow
Based on the above list that was provided, I now have a nice little blueprint, when it comes to the stories I submit to Marker.
To help me get started, I created a new Medium list, containing 16 stories that fall into the categories of: “food and drinks”, “health and fitness”, “beauty and skincare”, and “lifestyle”.

These stories all have an “evergreen” quality to them. They were written for universal appeal, and without a shelf life, so hopefully, the stories will sell pretty good.
Final Thoughts
Once again, I want to make clear that this latest online earning resource that I’m discussing is just as new to me as it is to all of you.
I’m not writing to endorse the site or make wild claims about what you can earn. I’m writing and sharing what I’m discovering about the site, as I discover it.
Do I believe it sounds like a great way for those of us with a growing catalogue of stories, to diversify and earn what we can, where we can?
Yes I do, but like everything else in life, the proof is in the pudding. I won’t know, until I know, and when I do, I’ll be sure to let everyone else know.
Until then, stay tuned to more on this story…
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Since posting this story, I’ve discovered that only “original” content is accepted, which may require you to consider removing previously published stories. Learn More.
