Searching for Charity №5 — The stranger reveals her secret …

“She was my lover,” the soaking-wet stranger said.

“Charity always had a thing for ….”

Diera clicked her fingers nervously.

“A**holes?” Pike suggested.

“Excuse me?!”

“No need to,” Pike handed the stranger a blanket.

She threw her wet cloak off, revealing an assortment of throwing knives.

“Your ears are not as pointy.”

“You stick people with the pointy end,” the stranger fumed.

“Believe me, Diera’s ears are useless in a fight.”

Diera glared at Pike, then at the woman.

“So you are the scorned lover trying to kill Charity.”

“No, I thought ….”

“We are,” Pike completed her sentence.
