Small Progress Counts (KDP Blog: Jan 13, 2024)

Upon returning from my part-time job around 1:30 pm, I took a brief rest, had something to eat, and then immediately started working on KDP. I began at about 3:15 pm. After roughly 30 minutes, which involved uploading a book my designer had created, I felt completely worn out. My head ached, my mind wasn’t cooperating, and I was overcome with extreme fatigue.

As I write today’s blog while lying in bed 😅, it got me thinking…

A critical component of success, I believe, is progress. Even though I only managed to put 30 minutes into KDP today, I can confidently say that I made progress. All I did was upload a book, but it still counts for something and it moved me forward with my goals. I am more experienced today with KDP than I was yesterday, even if only slightly so.

Life is too short, and we must treat ourselves well. There will be times when, no matter how hard you push yourself, your mind and body resist. I think it’s their way of telling us to take care of them and give them a break. Breaks are necessary, and since the start of the year, I’ve hardly taken any.

Once I’ve finished publishing this blog, I’ll spend some time catching up on KDP-related YouTube videos, checking my ads and setting goals for Monday. I plan to take tomorrow (Sunday) off. This will conclude my KDP day.
